🚀 Instamart has achieved contribution margin breakeven in Q1 FY27 👇 Instamart turned contribution margin positive at 0.2% of its ₹7,907 Cr gross order value (GOV), reaching the milestone in May 2026 as higher per-order monetisation boosted unit economics. Adjusted revenue per order rose to ₹108 from ₹97 in Q4 FY26. The quick commerce business also narrowed its adjusted EBITDA loss to ₹778 Cr from ₹896 Cr a year ago, while expanding its network to 1,171 dark stores across 131 cities. Swiggy said it prioritised sustainable profitability over aggressive discount-led growth, even shedding 4 Mn unprofitable users to improve unit economics. 💬 "In the last four quarters, we have taken a very, very contra choice in terms of conscientious overgrowth, and we believe that’s had much stronger staying power," said Swiggy founder and Group CEO Sriharsha M.. 🔗 To read the article in detail, click here: https://bit.ly/453xg0i #Swiggy #Instamart #QuickCommerce #News #Earnings

Swiggy still lost ₹791 Cr last quarter. But one number inside the results is the one it has chased for years: Instamart broke even. The quick commerce arm hit contribution-margin breakeven on stronger monetisation, higher revenue per order, and a deliberate call to shed 4 Mn unprofitable users. Overall loss narrowed 34% as revenue rose 37% to ₹6,812 Cr, even as food delivery took a margin hit. In today's Daily Brief: → Sarvam plans a trillion-parameter model within six months → HomeLane eyes ₹1,000 Cr revenue and EBITDA profit in FY27 → Zepto puts its IPO on hold, pivots to a ₹1,000 Cr pre-IPO round → Sid's Farm raises ₹81 Cr to scale its dairy business → Rapido's Ownly claims 10% of Bengaluru food delivery in four months Instamart hit breakeven partly by dropping 4 Mn users. Is shedding unprofitable customers smart discipline, or a ceiling on scale?
