Joshua Ford . Thank you for always supporting us and being there at every step. Your presence has never been support from a distance; it has always made a real and meaningful impact. You are a true partner in this journey, and every milestone we reach carries a part of your support and belief in us. #NuxeraAI #LEAPEast #HealthTech #Leadership #Entrepreneurship

Redesign Health was built on a bet: the most valuable thing we could do in healthcare is be the partner founders choose first. That was the goal on day one and it’s still the goal today. What’s changed is how we get there. Today, the vast majority of our recent early-stage investments are in companies we didn't start. Everything we learned building companies, the wins and the failures, compounds in that seat. It shows up as judgment on the decisions that matter, and as access that shortens the path to customers, technology, capital, and talent. These advantages run through a global network that now includes operations in markets such as Saudi Arabia and India, partnerships with leading health systems such as Cedars-Sinai, and deep investment in our technology platform and AI capabilities. While we still build a handful of ventures each year in high-conviction spaces where our relationships bring an unfair advantage, most of our time is spent backing founders who have already identified the problem they're uniquely positioned to solve. We lead investments, co-invest alongside exceptional partners, and work shoulder-to-shoulder with founders from day one through exit. Take Gravity Rail: an AI-native platform where a health care organization describes the patient journey it wants in plain language, and the platform builds and runs the agents to deliver it. Triage, scheduling, chronic-care follow-up across voice and text, with humans in the loop. On the horizon: a team using AI to tackle one of healthcare's biggest cost challenges, a cancer survivor building AI navigation for people facing serious illness, a company turning fragmented hospital data into the foundation for frontier AI models in biology and medicine, and more. Founders with the insight, experience, and conviction to build what others can't. And we're always looking for what's next. If you're building an AI-native healthcare company, we'd love to hear what you're working on. My DMs are always open.

  • Chronic pain affects 1 in 4 adults, but too many patients still struggle to get the care they need. From day one, we believed Alissa Meade and the Glimmer Health team were building something that would change that. It’s been incredible to watch what they’ve accomplished over the past year. We’re proud to be doubling down and excited to continue the journey together.

Big news: Today marks a major step in our mission to improve how chronic pain care is delivered and to expand access for the patients who need it most. We're thrilled to announce the close of our Tranche 1B financing, with continued participation from investors UPMC Enterprises and Redesign Health. This round is a testament to our team's execution and the traction we've seen over the past year — including total patient growth compounding at 72% per month — and a strong vote of confidence from investors who have been with us since the beginning. This funding will allow Glimmer to implement with our expanding book of partners and to harden our AI-enabled data and tech platform. A sincere thank you to UPMC Enterprises and Redesign Health for your continued partnership and belief in what we're building.

Burning tokens to produce large quantities of code is easy, but turning them into software you can confidently and safely ship is hard. We feel it acutely at Redesign Health: everyone here builds software, many without an engineering background. Meanwhile, the engineering team alone adds north of two million lines of code per developer per year. Reviewing that by hand isn't possible. We tried the AI code review tools, and while they're good and improving fast, they cannot yet keep review from being our bottleneck. So we built our own agentic review harness called Argus. The core idea: Argus reviews flows, not files. Instead of asking "Does this changed file look right?", it breaks code up as a human review would: - What action does this PR change? - From where is this change invoked? - What before and after each invocation needs to align with this change? This matters because agent-written code reads fine inside each file. The bug lives in the handoff: the Python is right, the API is right, but they don't align their contracts. No file-by-file reviewer catches that, because it isn't in any one file. So Argus breaks a PR into the flows it touches and runs specialist agents to traverse logical and data flows across files, not within them. Every reviewer leaves a full execution trace: the files it opened, the searches it ran, and how it arrived at each finding. Argus also learns from us. It watches what human engineers do with each finding (accept, reject, or fix it their own way) and folds that back into the harness, so the patterns experts keep correcting get caught earlier, and eventually avoided altogether. We've tested it against several frontier code review products, and in our own use it's been a step-change improvement over off-the-shelf tools. Per review, it's expensive: 100+ files can run as much as $50. Across a project the economics flip. A 50-file PR used to take me the better part of a day to get into prod, because every round surfaced problems the last one missed. Now it converges, onto code I actually trust, and it's cut my own time from code-complete to prod by half or more. Get the harness right, and review stops being a step at the end. It becomes the loop that drives development: specify the requirements, and the system iterates until the code converges on them. The dollar savings are real, but that's the narrowest part of the win. What I care about more is harder to price: getting code to prod I can trust. We wrote it all up, architecture, performance, and limitations, in a white paper (https://lnkd.in/grSbEVmx). This has worked well for us, though, as with anything in the AI era, we expect much of it to be obsolete in three months. If you're working on the same problem, we'd love your feedback, or reach out if you want more details. And if this is interesting to you, we're hiring! Please reach out.

At Redesign Health, our technology practice is cross between a frontier applied AI lab and a deep healthtech VC. We’re responsible for both technical investments and the agentic operating system that runs our whole business. And we’re hiring with open roles across applied AI, backend, product, and infrastructure/IT! Our applied AI team takes the hardest problems in venture -- forecasting which founders will succeed, selecting winning startup ideas, running investment-grade analysis -- and encodes them into self-learning systems on top of our knowledge graph built on over a million hours of expert research. That same foundation powers an AI platform our backend and infrastructure teams created to make everyone at the company a builder. Healthcare investors, clinical experts, and operators around the world shipped over 1.5 million lines of code last quarter, building everything from a healthcare-focused expert network for portfolio advisory to the enterprise software our general counsel wrote to run our global legal function. We’re hiring across teams led by Dan Costanza, Varun Dodla, and Preston Tollinger, three of the most talented leaders I’ve ever worked with. Together, they’ve founded companies worth over $2B, led data science for more than $100B in investments, and built some of the most-used healthcare technology systems of all time. They are world-class technologists. They are also uncommonly kind people. Our bet is that the best AI-native founders want to build with kindred spirits. It’s why we brought technical investing and engineering together into one unified practice. The founders we work with tell us Redesign is unlike any VC they've talked to: more like a startup, more technical, and an unfair advantage as they scale (it helps that Redesign founders get more than a million dollars in AI and cloud credits!). Across the team, we hire on the theory that the people who use AI most creatively are the ones with the highest ownership instinct. So we index on folks who've built something of their own -- whether a company, a team, or a product. We keep the organization flat and lean, and look for builders operating at the frontier of AI in their role. We've always believed the most impactful member of our team is someone we haven't met yet. That could be you! We love joyful maniacs: deeply kind, relentlessly driven people who are called to learning, building, teaching, and doing hard things. We’re on a mission to transform healthcare, helping patients live longer, healthier lives. If you’re looking for the most ambitious work of your career, join us! The open roles are in the comments.

Few days ago, we wrapped up our participation in the National Healthcare AI Sandbox, organized in partnership with National Guard Health Affairs and Monsha’at. It was a great opportunity to spend time with founders, healthcare leaders, and partners from across the healthcare ecosystem. Throughout the program, we met some impressive teams, exchanged ideas, and had the chance to evaluate more than 20 startups developing AI-driven healthcare solutions. The program also enabled the Redesign Health team to deepen relationships across the ecosystem with organizations such as SDAIA, HUMAIN, RDIA, and many others. I was also pleased to meet with H.E. Dr. Bandar Al Knawy, CEO of National Guard Health Affairs, and members of his leadership team. It was a pleasure to connect and discuss the important work underway across the Kingdom. I want to take a moment to thank and congratulate Dr. Azah Althumairi, MD, MPH for her leadership and for the success of this program. Special thanks to Dr. Feras alshomer MBBs, MSc, SP-Plast and Hussam Alanazi and their teams for all their efforts behind this program. I extend my thanks to my colleagues at Redesign Health Joshua Ford , Elias Tsikhlakis, and Sara Abdel-Karim for all the work that went into making our participation a success. Looking forward to continuing our work with founders and partners shaping the future of healthcare in Saudi Arabia.

Last week we brought our US team and global leaders together in New York for a three-day offsite. We reflected on the year to date, discussed exciting plans for H2, brainstormed how to best support our founders, and introduced our new set of company values and explored our own creative interpretation of their meaning. A few that personally resonated with me are ‘Go beyond’ and ‘AI sets the floor’ - something I have seen over and over at Redesign in the past year. We also made it out to a Brooklyn Cyclones Game complete with a Redesign first pitch. I left reminded of how much value comes from in-person time together, both the structured and the unstructured kind. If that's the kind of team you want to build with, we have a number of open roles globally — take a look: https://lnkd.in/gBn66jNY

Healthcare runs on people. The systems supporting them don’t. Worki has built the AI workforce layer that connects what’s fragmented and helps the people inside healthcare evolve alongside the technology reshaping their work. Today’s announcement with Tanner Health marks an exciting step in bringing that vision into practice. Huge congratulations to the Worki.ai team on this milestone!

AI should not replace the workforce. It should help amplify it. Today, Worki AI and Tanner Health announced a collaboration focused on helping existing healthcare employees grow, upskill, and navigate clearer career pathways through AI-powered Career Amplifiers. Humans remain the conductor. Worki helps unify fragmented workforce systems, reduce operational friction, and support employees with AI-powered guidance while keeping people at the center of decision making. The future of healthcare workforce transformation is not humans vs AI. It’s humans and AI working together to create stronger organizations, better employee experiences, and more connected workforce pathways.
