  • Let’s think beyond the numbers - “What keeps us as an audience, to search, select and watch content, on Traditional Television, Streaming platform, & on FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV) apps via CTV (Connected TV) setup?” Is It The Need Of The Content At The Hour? Is It Your Preference To Watch? Is It The Quality That Made You Watch It? Or, Is It The Tendency To Find A Relaxed Comfort Watching? You may also have something else as a criteria, which if you want can let us know in the comment. Here's what's interesting: the data across two very different markets is already answering pieces of this. On Need of the Hour - India's audiences are "tolerance-poor, not attention-poor," rewarding relevant content. Meanwhile, 70% of US adults now choose streaming before cable or broadcast. On Preference - In India, 78% prefer streaming on TV, while regional content drives nearly 30% of viewership. Likewise, over half of US viewers now favour the biggest screen at home. On Quality - In India, viewers value lag-free streaming and broad OTT access most. Similarly, premium viewing environments increase US purchase intent by 40%, making quality a measurable advantage. On Comfort - In India, familiar local stories are making binge-watching a cultural habit. Likewise, 75% of US viewers say co-viewing feels like quality time, with 3.5-hour binge sessions common. But here's the tension underneath all of this: the two dominant models built around these exact instincts are both showing cracks, in both markets. The big giant streaming platform Netflix has projected slower revenue growth for Q3 2026 which is a fall to 11.7% from 13.4% which was prior. And per TRAI, India's active DTH subscribers fell from 52.8 million in September to 51 million by December 2025. One is subscription fatigue and the other suffers from appointment and cost fatigue. Different markets, yet same underlying exit. That's the exact gap, what FAST bridges. No subscription commitment. No appointment required, just full CTV-native, big-screen quality and content to be accessed whenever the need of the hour actually shows up and this where Swift TV operates. Curious to know your thoughts in the comments section!!

  • 166M Indians Watch CTV. 36% Can't Be Reached Elsewhere.  If you're a professional who gets in deep into the streaming industry insights and trends, then what to catch up with and what not to, may seem chaotic at times.  And with the constantly evolving Free Ad-Supported Streaming that is now syncing with the CTV eco-space, you can't miss  any update unless you want to. CTV Is No More A Test Channel, It’s Main Stream! A recent study conducted by Kantar has reported that the monthly viewership of CTV - (Connected TV) in India, has reached the mark of 166 million - in Q1 2026, marking a 23% increase in the YoY compared to Q1 2025. But what makes this even more compelling is that out of three CTV viewers in India, one is living in the rural belt of the country, which gives us a true picture of the extent where CTV has actually penetrated. Beside that, 59 million viewers which is 36% of the total CTV audience, watch content exclusively on CTV, giving advertisers access to an incremental audience that Linear TV cannot reach. But scale alone doesn't solve the industry's real problem! Amit Verma who is the CEO of DigitUp company, once said in an interview which later got published in The Current mentioning that - CTV in India "is not 'TV with digital accountability' by default." This statement is backed by the latest market report by Mordor Intelligence which clearly says, fragmented ad-tech stacks are now a named restraint on the entire category, with 43% of advertisers calling cross-platform measurement a major barrier over the next 3–5 years.  The industry's take, so far, has been smart patches. Even if we look at the latest partnership between JioHotstar and VDO.AI, it layers real-time contextual creative: weather, sports scores, AQI, onto its existing CTV inventory, reportedly driving up to 3x higher purchase intent.  A genuine strong move, yet a layer bolted onto legacy infrastructure. Swift TV was built the other way around. As an independent FAST streaming platform powered by TGM's programmatic intelligence, Swift TV doesn't retrofit accountability, transparency, or contextual precision onto its ad stack, it starts there.  One unified demand pipeline, one transparent supply path, and no patchwork. #ConnectedTVAdvertising #CTVIndia #FASTAdvertising #AdSupportedStreaming #ProgrammaticAdvertising #CTVMonetization #SwiftTV #OTTAdvertisingSolutions #DigitalContentMonetization

  • Innovation Pays The Price. As 95% Of Free Streaming Gets Controlled By Two FAST Companies! “Extreme pursuit of monopoly is the end of the market to try out something new as an experiment, that’s affordable for the consumers in terms of purchasing or product’s utilization, ultimately leading to the crash of the market!” Why do we say so, because with FOX Corporation acquiring $22 billion shares of Roku TV beside having the control over Tubi streaming platform, states the major coverage picture of just one company dominating the giant proportion of the US streaming, driven by free ad-supported viewership. Now if we add up the numbers of Paramount owned Pluto TV to that, then the number approximately reaches 95% of the market. One Company Is About To Control Half Of Free Streaming. That's a bottleneck forming at the exact moment more viewers than ever are walking toward the free tier's door. The Door Is Getting More Crowded, As The Alternative Got Too Expensive In the past year, YouTube Premium, Netflix, Paramount+, and Prime Video's ad-free tier have all raised prices. Even hardware like Apple is not safe, Apple just pushed the Apple TV 4K from $129 to $199, a 54% jump it attributes to rising memory and chip costs driven by the global AI boom. When the box you need just to watch anything gets more expensive, "free" stops being a compromise and starts being the obvious move. What Does This Actually Mean For You? For OEMs: Distribution concentration is now a product decision, choosing one dominant FAST ecosystem means surrendering leverage over pricing, placement, and discovery. For Publishers & Content Owners: Fewer buyers mean weaker negotiating power, making direct distribution partnerships more valuable than ever. For Brands & Agencies: As FAST consolidates, transparency declines, making measurable, creative-first CTV inventory beyond the Big Three increasingly valuable. The Opportunity Nobody's Pricing In Yet Here's a number that deserves more attention than it gets: 10% of Americans, millions of people, still can't access free over-the-air TV at all. Services like Freecast are only now starting to close that gap, market by market, channel by channel. That's the same structural story playing out globally, and it's exactly the door Swift TV was built to walk through, bringing free, ad-supported streaming to audiences the biggest platforms have never prioritized first, from India to the diaspora markets a two-company FAST market has no particular reason to serve. What Does Our Read Say! The FAST platforms that win the next two years won't be the ones with the biggest device footprint. They'll be the ones that can prove openly, transparently, that an independent publisher, an OEM, or an advertiser gets a fair seat at the table. That's the standard we're building Swift TV against. #FASTStreaming #CTV #StreamingIndustry #FASTAdvertising

ATS Singapore gave everyone the same agenda. It gave everyone a different story. I realized that on my flight back. Over the pre-event, the conference, and the after-party, I had the opportunity to speak with people across publishers, SSPs, DSPs, agencies, CTV, measurement, and the broader AdTech ecosystem. What surprised me wasn't what people were talking about. It was what they chose to pay attention to. Some left excited about AI. Others couldn't stop talking about publisher monetization. Some were thinking about identity and measurement. Others were focused on execution and partnerships. Same event. Completely different takeaways. That's when I realized something. The best conferences don't give you better answers. They leave you asking better questions. Grateful to everyone I met at ATS Singapore 2026. Every conversation added a new perspective, and I'm looking forward to continuing many of them.

  • Do You Still Watch Ads on an Interval, or Skip Them the Moment They Start? It's a question worth asking your viewing audience, and an even more important one for publishers and broadcasters to sit with. Here's the honest overview : most viewers can't actually skip ads anymore, and they're not trying to, unless they are on YouTube. The real shift isn't avoidance, it's attention splitting. Unlike old-school linear TV, where channel-surfing during an ad break was second nature, CTV's seamless ad integration has made that kind of avoidance far harder which is exactly why CTV ads now achieve viewability rates close to 100%. The screen isn't being abandoned. The eyes are just going somewhere else. Nearly two-thirds of US social network users are projected to watch TV or streaming while actively scrolling a second screen in 2026, making dual-screen viewing the default, not the exception. Especially in a golden period like this when the FIFA WC 2026 is going on and Cricket tournament India tour of England is also about to begin, live sport makes this impossible to ignore. Talking about the 2026 FIFA World Cup it has already reset the bar: IPL 2026's opening weekend alone drove a 30% jump in CTV reach and a 61% spike in concurrency over the previous season, while JioHotstar set a world record of 65.2 million concurrent viewers during an India match, proof that the biggest screen and the smallest screen are now winning attention together, not competing for it. And FAST platforms are squarely inside that moment. During the USMNT's World Cup opener, Tubi alone delivered an average minute audience of over a million viewers - a free, ad-supported platform pulling real weight inside one of the biggest live sporting events on the planet. For FAST platforms, this isn't a problem to solve. It's the actual battlefield. Viewers aren't leaving your platform when they pick up their phone, they're telling you exactly when their attention is highest, and exactly when it's elsewhere. At Swift TV, this is why genre experience matters as much as genre choice. A cricket fan checking the scorecard mid-over and a World Cup viewer following live commentary on their phone aren't disengaged, they're engaged differently. #FASTStreaming #CTV #SecondScreen #SwiftTV #FIFAWorldCup2026 #IPL2026 #ConnectedTV #ViewerBehavior #TheGermaneMedia #StreamingIndustry2026
