Conventional hospital management systems often lack intelligent decision-making capabilities and adaptive security mechanisms required for handling dynamic patient demands and large-scale healthcare data. This research presents an intelligent hospital network management framework integrating artificial intelligence-driven optimization with advanced security mechanisms to improve operational efficiency and protect sensitive healthcare information. The proposed framework utilizes machine learning and deep learning models to predict patient inflow, optimize bed allocation, enhance staff scheduling, and support real-time operational decision-making. Reinforcement learning techniques are incorporated to dynamically allocate healthcare resources under varying workload conditions, thereby minimizing patient waiting time and improving service responsiveness. To address security concerns, the framework integrates AI-based intrusion detection, secure authentication protocols, and encrypted communication mechanisms for safeguarding healthcare data against cyber threats. Cloud and edge computing technologies are employed to support scalable data processing, low-latency communication, and real-time monitoring of hospital operations. Experimental evaluation is performed using operational metrics such as resource utilization efficiency, waiting time reduction, prediction accuracy, and intrusion detection performance. The results demonstrate significant improvements in operational coordination, infrastructure utilization, and cybersecurity resilience compared with conventional management approaches. Correlation analysis further validates the interdependency between operational and predictive parameters, supporting efficient optimization strategies. The proposed framework provides a scalable, adaptive, and secure solution for modern healthcare environments, enabling intelligent resource management and reliable network protection in digitally connected hospital infrastructures.

This study aims to assess the prevalence, usage patterns, and socio-demographic factors associated with this practice among pregnant women in Alibag, Maharashtra. Conducted over a one-year period (July 2024-June 2025), a crosssectional survey included 400 pregnant women from both government and private healthcare facilities. The findings reveal that 27.5% of respondents used chewing tobacco during pregnancy, with daily use being the most common pattern. Factors such as limited education, early marriage, cultural acceptance, and poor risk awareness contributed to the habit. The study calls for integrated antenatal counselling, community-level awareness, and behaviour change strategies

The present study aimed to investigate the prevalence and patterns of smokeless tobacco (SLT) use... more The present study aimed to investigate the prevalence and patterns of smokeless tobacco (SLT) use among pregnant women and its association with maternal and neonatal health outcomes. The study included 100 pregnant women, and their SLT use was assessed through self-reporting. The results showed that 40% of women users were aged 18-25 years, another 40% were aged 25-32 years, and 20% were aged 32-39 years. Similar trends were observed in a previous study, which found higher SLT use prevalence among women aged 20-34 years compared to those below 20 years. Among the four main types of SLT used by women (mishri, gutka, mawa, and khaini), mishri alone was preferred by 60% of users,
while only 8% exclusively used gutka. Other studies have also reported a high prevalence of mishri use among pregnant women. The present study showed that 32% of women were poly-SLT users, while 68%
used only one form of SLT. This finding aligns with previous research that reported a higher proportion of women using only one type of SLT. The study revealed that women used SLT for various reasons, including
habit, temptation, morning motions, peer pressure, and family pressure. Similar findings have been reported in previous studies, including SLT's perceived hunger suppression effects and stress reduction
beliefs. Some studies have also reported myths related to SLT use, such as improving oral hygiene and preventing teeth weakening during pregnancy. The study found that SLT use during pregnancy was
associated with lower hemoglobin levels and a higher prevalence of anemia. Users had a higher incidence of mild, moderate, and severe anemia compared to non-users. This finding is consistent with previous
research that linked SLT use to lower hemoglobin levels and an increased risk of anemia. The study also showed a higher percentage of C-section deliveries among SLT users and a higher prevalence of low
birth-weight babies compared to non-users, which aligns with previous findings. Despite being aware of the hazards of SLT consumption, a significant proportion (76%) of users did not intend to change their
attitude towards tobacco use during pregnancy. This finding highlights the need for interventions to address SLT use among pregnant women and the importance of providing information on the risks of tobacco use during antenatal care. Finally, the study suggests the need for further research on the adverse pregnancy effects of SLT use and the development of national schemes to address tobacco use during pregnancy.

This paper is a high-level predictive model that incorporates multidimensional patient data in the form of a deep learning design to predict unfavorable postoperative incidents. The model
uses systematic clinical variables, perioperative factors, and patient time series to learn intricate patterns that would be neglected in more conventional risk-scoring platforms. The proposed system was trained by using curated datasets and was tested using a deep two-phase
validation plan. To achieve robustness and prevent overfitting, internal cross-validation was done, and external validation was conducted on a separate unknown dataset to evaluate the
generalizability of the findings to the various patient populations. The accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, precision, F1-score, and the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) were used to measure the quantitative performance. The model had been shown to
produce high levels of prediction accuracy, and high levels of accuracy were observed across various types of outcomes, with external validation ascertaining that it was reliable in clinical situations. Additionally, interpretability tests were done to emphasize the role of individual
input features to enhance the transparency and clinical credibility of the system. This method establishes not only a better predictive accuracy but also provides an interpretable decision support mechanism, which fits into the current clinical workflow. In general, the suggested framework can be considered a scalable and valid solution to support perioperative decision making, which will enable clinicians to get timely risk assessments and manipulate the postoperative patient to enhance the overall care outcomes.

Chewing tobacco during pregnancy remains an overlooked yet critical public health issue in rural ... more Chewing tobacco during pregnancy remains an overlooked yet critical public health issue in rural India. Despite ongoing health education efforts, this deeply ingrained cultural habit continues to affect maternal and fetal well-being. The present study was undertaken to assess the prevalence, frequency, and socio-demographic patterns of chewing tobacco among pregnant women residing in Alibag Taluka, Maharashtra. Conducted between July 2024 and June 2025, the descriptive cross-sectional survey included 400 pregnant women attending both public and private healthcare facilities. The findings revealed that 27.5% of participants reported using some form of chewing tobacco during their current pregnancy, most often on a daily basis. The practice was strongly associated with lower education levels, early marriage, cultural normalization of tobacco use, and poor awareness of its health hazards. Statistical analysis confirmed a significant relationship between tobacco use and lack of awareness regarding its risks (χ² = 32.94, p < 0.001). The study emphasizes the urgent need for community-based interventions, antenatal counselling, and behavior-change communication strategies to address this preventable threat to maternal and neonatal health.

Today, mindfulness is a worldwide trend in psychology, education, and health sciences, but it is ... more Today, mindfulness is a worldwide trend in psychology, education, and health sciences, but it is still inherent in the significant spiritual framework of early Buddhism. This study revolves around the concept of mindfulness (Sati) in Buddha's Aṣṭāṅga Mārga (Noble Eightfold Path), providing a holistic view of its philosophical basis, ethical source, and practical implications. The examination through scriptural sources, present-day views, and scientific results defines mindfulness as a mind exercise as well as a powerful change agent that leads the individual to liberation (Nirvana). The paper identifies mindfulness as the main idea that links wisdom (prajñā), ethical conduct (śīla), and mental cultivation (Samadhi). At last, the written study reflects on the significance of the old Buddhist doctrines for the present-day therapeutic, educational, and organizational environments.

India's vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 a Vision of Progress for India aims to turn the country into... more India's vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 a Vision of Progress for India aims to turn the country into a developed, inclusive and knowledge-based society by the 100th year of independence. Attaining such an ambitious challenge would require economic development, but also development of robust knowledge institutions to develop ideas, to develop leadership, to generate innovations for sustainable development. As leading institutions of Indian management education and research, the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) seem best placed to contribute to this change. The paper discusses the developing status of IIMs in promoting India's development agenda, through their instructional, research and policy contribution. Employing an institutional analysis-stakeholder interviewing-and-policy review approach, a qualitative study reveals four strategic areas where IIMs can have a major influence: (1) knowledge creation and research innovation; (2) inclusive entrepreneurship and MSME development; (3) governance and public policy leadership; and (4) sustainability and ethical management education. The implication is that although IIMs have made positive strides in the development and dissemination of leadership and entrepreneurship, there is still a need for better harmonization of their academic missions and national developmental priorities. This paper presents an "IIM 2047 Vision Matrix" that links the institutional strategies with the core pillars of Viksit Bharat 2047. With acceptance of this broad view, IIMs may transform from being institutions of management competence to driving forces for national transformation, helping to move the country toward a truly knowledge-based, fair and sustainable future.

This paper assesses the changing intellectual property rights (IPR) scene in India and its impact... more This paper assesses the changing intellectual property rights (IPR) scene in India and its impact on the operations of healthcare consultancy, as well as providing a real-life framework to add value whilst ensuring compliance. Informed by two aims (1) to chart the evolving landscape of how IP is shaped, data is governed, AI outputs are produced and HTA dynamics evolve to implicate practice in advisory activity; and (2) to deliver tools for action in due diligence, licensing structures as well as policy advocacy and playbooks the research unfolds using pragmatic qualitative design. We analyzed a hypothetical data set consisting of 18 in-depth interviews with Indian healthcare consultancies (with variation in size and practice area), 12 policy/regulatory documents, and an anonymized set of six case vignettes. Analyses revealed key tensions around control of AI outputs, data provenance and cross-border data flows, and HTC-aligned timing as well as institutional variation within firms. The following key implications emerge from our findings: IP forms are not isolated actions, the ownership of AI-generated insights is under negotiation, data governance as risk and value lever, HTA considerations moderating/inhibiting (or enabling) advisory strategies. Useful tools are growing in number, but are not yet developed to the same extent by firm size. In order to turn those insights into action, the research suggests a four-pillar framework: (i) modulating patent mapping and adapting it according to client lifecycles and HTA's milestones; (ii) licensing playbook in modules; and (iii) ensuring robust data governance toolkit; and (iv) a policy-engagement playbook. The backbone is designed to minimize lead times, standardize processes and build client confidence. Potential limitations include the speculative nature of data and the rapidly changing regulatory environment. Further research should test the framework components empirically in real firms and jurisdictions.
