Study Design: Cross-sectional study Place and Duration: Department of Pathology, Northwest School of Medicine Peshawar in the duration from July, 2022 to December, 2022. Methods: Total 850 cases of coagulation disorders were presented in this study. A thorough demographic analysis of the recruited cases was done after receiving informed written consent. After taking note of the symptoms and indicators, a coagulation profile was used to diagnose the patients. With the use of factor tests, the illness severity was evaluated. All of the data was examined using SPSS 23.0. Results: Among 850 cases, 113 (13.3%) patients were had rare bleeding disorders. Methods: The department of pathology examined a total of 47 Parotid tumor specimens. Sections were obtained, processed, and paraffin-embedded after specimens were formalin-fixed. Methods: We enrolled 200 patients of beta-thalassemia in this observational cross sectional study conducted at Department of Pathology, Jinnah Medical College/District Specialist Naseerullah Babar Memorial Hospital, Peshawar in the duration from March, 2022 to August, 2022. We determined the frequency of HCV in beta-thalassemia patients and assessed the association of HCV with age groups and number of blood transfusions. Chi Square test was used for association keeping P value at < 0.05 as statistically significant. Results: Patients’ average age recorded was 11.07±4.98 years. The retrospective study cases of invasive breast carcinoma received at Shifa International Hospital, Islamabad, from June 2010 to December 2011, for assessment of HER2/neu status by immunohistochemistry which were retrieved from the files and, 30 consecutive cases each of score 0, 1+, 2+ and 3+ were selected for a total of 120 cases. Two groups of two histopathologists each examined the cases blindly. One group had attended a short course in Germany, while the other group comprised two qualified histopathologists who had not had any special training. Each histopathologist reported the cases independently according to standard guidelines. Kappa statistics were applied. The trained group of histopathologists showed agreement in 113 (94%) cases. Methods: This cross-validation study was conducted from March 2021 to August 2021 at Al Hussain Diagnostic & Medical center Nishtar Road Multan. We included 100 patients presenting with renal masses on clinical and ultrasonography. All patients underwent MDCT for evaluation of renal masses. After MDCT, biopsy specimens were obtained for histopathological diagnosis of renal masses. The MDCT findings were correlated with histopathology diagnosis to determine the accuracy of MDCT. Results: Mean age was 45.8±12.36 years, 67% patients were male and 33% were female. Malignancy was diagnosed in 83% patients and remaining 17% patients were diagnosed of having benign lesions. Objective: To explore the perception and views of undergraduate medical students about the signif... more Objective: To explore the perception and views of undergraduate medical students about the significance of structured versus traditional viva formats. Study Design: It was qualitative exploratory research Place and Duration of Study: The study was conducted in Pathology department of CMH Multan Institute of Medical Sciences from December 2019 to August 2020. Materials and Methods: Four sets of focused group discussions were carried out, each group comprising of 8 students of fourth year MBBS who had undertaken both structured and traditional viva examinations in the subject of Pathology. The students who did not appear in the exam and those who did not volunteer for the study were excluded from the study. The interviews were audio recorded followed by transcription and manual thematic analysis. The students identified their preferences for the type of viva which gave an umbrella of themes. The subthemes were then identified to find out the exact reasons of their preferences. Results: The results of the study yielded five themes and sub themes. The main themes were attitude towards exams, exams preparation, time management, student teacher relationship and relevancy of content of viva. The students suggested that viva exam of all subjects should be structured to maximize uniformity of content coverage, time management and attitude improvement for both faculty and students. Conclusion: The students were Overwhelmingly satisfied with structured viva as compared to traditional viva format. They emphasized structured viva as their preferred assessment method as traditional viva does not truly reflect a student's competence.
