This paper describes an RAX System designed for ranking Arabic documents in information retrieval... more This paper describes an RAX System designed for ranking Arabic documents in information retrieval processes. The proposed solution basically depends on the similarity of textual content. The model we have designed can be used for documents stored in the different formats and written in Arabic language. Due the complex lingual semantics of this language the proposed solution uses a pure statistical approach. The design and implementation are based on existing text processing frameworks and referent Arabic grammar. The main focus of our research has been the evaluation of different similarity measures used for classifying Arabic documents from different domains and different document categories based on query criteria provided by the user.

The main challenge in the 20th century was to provide secure telecommunication services to profes... more The main challenge in the 20th century was to provide secure telecommunication services to professional users (military, police, security services, etc.) and to provide basic access to telecommunication services to private users (individuals and business organizations). A high level of security for private users was not important for many reasons: low risk, low performance devices, low level of technical knowledge, etc. In the 21st century, we have witnessed significant changes in this field. In the last few years, the real capabilities of government agencies became apparent in the field of information security, showning themselves to be woefully lacking, and failing to adequately respond to new challenges. The trend of moving security services focus to mass surveillance, combined with the inability to keep these functions solely in the hands of authorized agencies, is concerning. For private users, an even more serious transformation is happening. The number of people using telecommunication services is rapidly growing, as well as the intensity of using these services. That also implies the reduction of the average technical knowledge of users, which further requires simplified user interfaces for these services. Additionally, the value of the content in these communications is growing and becoming more complex. To survive in the market, the companies that produce telecommunication devices are forced to introduce new features as quickly as possible. The security aspect is, in most cases, seriously considered only after serious incidents occur. Additionally, those companies sometime intentionally break user's privacy and security in order to attain a better position in the market, and to increase their profit, alone or in cooperation with government security services. In this paper we tried to make an overview of the current state in the aforementioned security aspects, and to refer readers to current problems.

The psychological state of an examinee is typically ignored, both in the process of designing the tests and during the exam itself. Using the developed framework, we tested 35 participants in an experiment to obtain as much data as possible about the emotional states of the students depending on the different types of question posed. In this paper, we present our current results from an examination of the potential of using EEG data towards applying artificial intelligence for improvement of electronic assessments, as well as a technical platform for this purpose.

This fact imposes the specific learning approach and development environment as a collaborative learning tool. It is particularly important in the learning scenarios that include large groups of students and computers that are not intended solely for teaching Web development as well. The authors of this paper find, based on their past experiences, that a disproportionately large amount of time is expended on troubleshooting infrastructure problems, and that collaboration amongst students is unsatisfactory. This paper presents a solution for centralized and collaborative work on learning Web development, as well as observations made during the course of its development and the first year of deployment.

As they usually represent standalone solutions, tests (quizzes) represent the only interactive tool offered for evaluating the learner knowledge. Regardless todays LMS support almost all of question types, learner — system interaction is not at satisfactory level. This paper describes one solution for improving LMS to be more interactive, making learners more motivated in course studding. Serious gaming interactive questions and intensive data exchange infrastructure is used in implementation of this improvements.

Model primene sopstvenih kriptografskih i steganografskih algoritama na primeru Web galerije slika

ABSTRACT Sadržaj — U ovom radu je predstavljen model rešenja za tajni prenos šifrovanih podataka.... more ABSTRACT Sadržaj — U ovom radu je predstavljen model rešenja za tajni prenos šifrovanih podataka. Rešenje se bazira na korišćenju sopstvenih kriptografskih i steganografskih algoritama. Kao podrazumevani nosilac podataka kod steganografskih funkcija uzima se Web galerija slika. Rešenje podrazumeva korišćenje PNG i JPEG formata bez gubitka kvaliteta. Ključne reči — kriptografija, steganografija, sopstveni algoritam, zaštićena komunikacija. I.UVOD savremenim računarskim mrežama kod pitanja bezbednosti podataka tokom prenosa podrazumeva se upotreba kriptografskih rešenja. U profesionalnim sistemima zaštite korišćenje sopstvenog algoritma u simetričnim šifarskim sistemima i tajnost simetričnih šifarskih ključeva jesu osnova garancije bezbednosti. Primenom ovog principa – razvojem sopstvenog kriptografskog rešenja – i korišćenjem pouzdanih gotovih komponenti može se ostvariti komunikacija u čiji sadržaj posrednici nemaju uvid te se takva komunikacija može smatrati bezbednom. Prvi problem koji izlazi van prostora u kome rešenje nudi kriptografija jeste taj da se zaštićena komunikacija može ometati (onemogućiti) ukoliko treća strana ima mogućnosti uticaja na infrastrukturu korišćenu za komunikaciju (komunikacioni kanal). Lokalne mreže (odnosno mreže sa čijom infrastrukturom treća strana nema dodira) najčešće se smatraju bezbednim te u njima često i nema potrebe za jakim bezbednosnim mehanizmima. Sa druge strane, kanali Internet mreže najčešće nisu pod kontrolom korisnika tako da se rešenje pomenutog problema često nalazi u korišćenju redundantnih kanala. Sledeći problem vezan za upotrebu kriptografskih rešenja jeste mogućnost snimanja komunikacije od strane posrednika u komunikaciji. S obzirom na to da većina kriptografskih rešenja u upotrebi ne nudi apsolutnu već praktičnu (računski sigurnu) bezbednost, problem snimanja komunikacije (stavljen u odnos sa sve većom procesorskom snagom savremenih računara) može se smatrati izuzetno značajanim. Jedan od načina predstavlja upotreba bezbednosnih rešenja koja nude apsolutnu sigurnost. Međutim, ovakva rešenja imaju određene nedostatke koji ih čine neefikasnim u realnim uslovima. Jedan od načina ostvarivanja bolje zaštite jeste i ranije pomenuta upotreba sopstvenih algoritama. Na ovaj način se napadaču proces razbijanja šifrata znatno otežava usled nepoznavanja algoritma kojim je izvršeno šifrovanje odnosno kojim se vrši dešifrovanje. Pristup koji će u ovom radu biti razmatran zasniva se na upotrebi steganografije uz korišćenje sopstvenog šifarskog simetričnog sekvencijalnog algoritma. Upotrebom steganografije moguće je potencijalnim napadačima znatno otežati proces razbijanja šifrata jer se od njih, pored originala sadržaja, skriva i informacija da je do komunikacije uopšte i došlo. U radu će ceo koncept biti razmotren na primeru Web galerije slika uz korišćenje ranije razvijenog šifarskog algoritma [1,2].
