The system of N scalar particles with Grassman-valued color changes plus the color SU(3) Yang–Mil... more The system of N scalar particles with Grassman-valued color changes plus the color SU(3) Yang–Mills field is reformulated on spacelike hypersurfaces. The Dirac observables are found and the physical invariant mass of the system in the Wigner-covariant rest frame instant form of dynamics (covariant Coulomb gauge) is given. From the reduced Hamilton equations we extract the second order equations of motion for both the reduced transverse color field and the particles. Then we study this relativistic scalar quark model, deduced from the classical QCD Lagrangian and with the color field present, in the N=2 (meson) case. A special form of the requirement of having only color singlets, suited for a field-independent quark model, produces a "pseudoclassical asymptotic freedom" and a regularization of the quark self-energy.

See Refs.[4] for extensive reviews of the obtained results in special and general relativity (SR and GR). Here I will sketch the main conceptual points of it and I will speak about new developments in this framework.

It is shown that such a function depends on elastic scattering and so lies outside the conventional treatment of thermodynamics. The appearance of a square root divergence at), = 0 is explained, but the model is too simple to reproduce the right elasticity of throughgoing particles and so the velocity function becomes energy dependent and too peaked at low velocities.

Canonical Observables versus the Algebra of Invariant Charges for the Open Nambu String

The relationship between the canonical observables and the Pohlmeyer-Rehren infinite-dimensional ... more The relationship between the canonical observables and the Pohlmeyer-Rehren infinite-dimensional tensor algebra of invariant charges is analysed for the open Nambu string. In two recent papers[1,2] the classical Nambu string has been studied by means of the many-time approach. The original pair of first-class constraints, which are only in weak involution, have been locally replaced by two sets of strictly abelian (i.e. in involution under Poisson brackets) constraints by multiplying them by suitable functions suggested by the light-cone coordinates. In this way it is possible to describe nearly all the constraint manifold using two overlapping charts, one with P + = 0, the other with P − = 0. The remaining part of such a manifold contains only longitudinal modes. In each chart the Hamilton-Dirac equations of motion are replaced by many-time functional Hamilton equations with the abelian constraints as Hamiltonians. These equations have been solved in an arbitrary gauge. Moreover a complete set of canonical observables,à la Dirac, has ben found for each chart; this set reduce to the DDF oscillators[3] in the orthonormal gauge. This allows the construction of a canonical transformation, in each chart, from the original symplectic basis x µ (σ), P µ (σ), to a new one which is made of: 1) the abelian constraints and the conjugated gauge variables; 2) all the previous transverse canonical observables; 3) the three independent components (in four space-time dimension) of the total momentum and the three conjugated variables for the center of mass (which are Dirac observables too).

Grassmann-valued Dirac fields together with the electromagnetic field (the pseudo-classical basis... more Grassmann-valued Dirac fields together with the electromagnetic field (the pseudo-classical basis of QED) are reformulated on spacelike hypersurfaces in Minkowski space–time and then restricted to Wigner hyperplanes to get their description in the rest-frame Wigner-covariant instant form of dynamics. The canonical reduction to the Wigner-covariant Coulomb gauge is done in the rest frame. It is shown, on the basis of a geometric inconsistency, that the description of fermions is incomplete, because there is no bosonic carrier of the spin structure describing the trajectory of the electric current in Minkowski space–time, as it was already emphasized in connection with the first quantization of spinning particles in a previous paper.

The missing complete Hamiltonian treatment of the standard SU(3) × SU(2) × U(1) model with Grassm... more The missing complete Hamiltonian treatment of the standard SU(3) × SU(2) × U(1) model with Grassmann-valued fermion fields in the Higgs phase is given. We bypass the complications of the Hamiltonian theory in the Higgs phase, resulting from the spontaneous symmetry breaking with the Higgs mechanism, by studying the Hamiltonian formulation of the Higgs phase for the gauge-equivalent Lagrangian in the unitary gauge. A canonical basis of Dirac's observables is found and the reduced physical Hamiltonian is evaluated. Its self-energy part is nonlocal for the electromagnetic and strong interactions, but local for the weak ones. Therefore, the Fermi four-fermion interaction reappears at the nonperturbative level.

We find the Hamiltonian expression in the York basis of canonical ADM tetrad gravity of the 4-Wey... more We find the Hamiltonian expression in the York basis of canonical ADM tetrad gravity of the 4-Weyl tensor of the asymptotically Minkowskian space-time. Like for the 4-Riemann tensor we find a radar tensor (whose components are 4-scalars due to the use of radar 4-coordinates), which coincides with the 4-Weyl tensor on-shell on the solutions of Einstein's equations. Then, by using the Hamiltonian null tetrads, we find the Hamiltonian expression of the Weyl scalars of the Newman–Penrose approach and of the four eigenvalues of the 4-Weyl tensor. After having introduced the Dirac observables (DOs) of canonical gravity, whose determination requires the solution of the super-Hamiltonian and super-momentum constraints, we discuss the connection of the DOs with the notion of 4-scalar Bergmann observables (BOs). Due to the use of radar 4-coordinates these two types of observables coincide in our formulation of canonical ADM tetrad gravity. However, contrary to Bergmann proposal, the Weyl ...
