Abstract The information industry is becoming a major source of wealth for many nations; the soft... more Abstract The information industry is becoming a major source of wealth for many nations; the software industry, in particular, can play an important role in the economies of the developing nations. The Arab countries have a large number of university graduates in computer‐related disciplines; however, the status of the information industry in these countries is far below expectations. One obstacle to the proliferation of computer technology in the Arab societies has been the language barrier. Efforts to Arabize the technology, be it Arabization of software, hardware, user manuals or textbooks and references, are very weak and cannot cope with the rate of advancement in the technology. A new phenomenological model for the electrical conduction in polycrystalline silicon is develope... more A new phenomenological model for the electrical conduction in polycrystalline silicon is developed. The combined mechanisms of dopant segregation, carrier trapping, and carrier reflection at grain boundaries are proposed to explain the electrical conduction in polycrystalline silicon. The grain boundaries are assumed to behave as an intrinsic wide-band-gap semiconductor forming a heterojunction with the grains. Thermionic emission over the potential barriers created within the grains due to carrier trapping at the grain boundaries and then tunneling through the grain boundaries is proposed as the carrier transport mechanism. A generalized current-voltage relationship is developed which shows that the electrical properties of polycrystall i e silicon depend on the properties of the grain boundaries.

These Seven Heavens are of such grandeur that puts them in an almost equal footing with The Great Throne. The current models of these Seven Heavens are reviewed and found to be unsatisfactory. The characteristics of these Seven Heavens are inferred from the verses that describe them, and a new model is proposed.

Hence, Adam and Eve, being the first human male and female, each had a mother. The Qur'an points to the strong possibility of the existence of a nonhuman female who was the Original Mother to Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve had a miraculous creation. Like Jesus, they were born to a mother without a father. They were probably a set of twin brother and sister and later became the father and mother of all human beings.

An InfoMiracle is a piece of information that could not be obtained by a human except through a divine channel. A sample of 30 InfoMiracles in the Qur’an is examined. It is suggested that the Qur’an may contain hundreds of InfoMiracles.

It is also an evidence to the existence of God. A mathematical equation is developed to prove the existence of God. The equation depends on a single variable only, which is the number of InfoMiracles in the Qur’an. It is shown that the existence of 23 InfoMiracles in the Qur’an is a sufficient proof to the existence of God and that the Qur’an is a revelation from God.
