The need to develop a search Engine based architectural model for people to search through the Web. Broad web search engines as well as many more specialized search tools rely on web crawlers to acquire large collections of pages for indexing and analysis. The crawler is an important module of a web search engine. The quality of a crawler directly affects the searching quality of such web search engines. Such a web crawler may interact with millions of hosts over a period of weeks or months, and thus issues of robustness, flexibility, and manageability are of major importance. Given some URLs, the crawler should retrieve the web pages of those URLs, parse the HTML files, add new URLs into its queue and go back to the first phase of this cycle. The crawler also can retrieve some other information from the HTML files as it is parsing them to get the new URLs. In this paper, we describe the design of a web crawler that uses Page Rank algorithm for distributed searches and can be run on a network of workstations. The crawler initially search for all the stop words (such as a, an, the, and etc). While searching the web pages for some keyword the crawler will initially remove all collected stop word. Also at the same time the crawler will search for snippets from web documents. All the matching word & collected snippet will be stored in temporary cache memory created at central server of crawlers. Where after applying page rank algorithm on the basis of no. of visit of web pages we will arrange the pages according to their ranks & display the results. Since, due to extensive search on web through web crawlers the chances of various virus attacks are more & processing capacity of system may get halt so to provide solution in such scenario we can provide backup to our system by creating web services. The web service will be designed in such manner that any valid updations to any database servers will automatically updates the backup servers. Therefore, even in failure of any server system, we can continue with crawling process.

Initially segmentation is used to separate the image into parts that represent an interest object that can be used for further specific study. There are various techniques present which performs such task but a common technique that adapt to all images is required, especially for complex or specific images. Hence our project basically aims to obtain a technique which is convenient for complex and different images. We tend to obtain a more specific result of the input image using histogram quantization, calculating valleys from analysis of histogram slope percentage, calculating threshold using maximum entropy. This approach provides more specific results over the already proposed technique which will be of great importance to the doctors, pathologists and surgeons to detect the potential cell rejection.

Computer network technology is developing quickly, and the advancement of internet techniques is ... more Computer network technology is developing quickly, and the advancement of internet techniques is growing faster. Furthermore, people and companies have became more aware of the importance of network security. To protect the network from different attacks, it is necessary to instantly detect intrusions with significantly low False-Positive Rates (FPRs). Many Anomalybased Detection Systems (ADS) have been proposed in the past. The performance of these systems depends on many factors such as features selection or extraction, missing or inaccurate records in data, over-fitting, under-fitting, high bias, and variance in data. Thus, it is important to take all these factors into account. Recently, a novel Geometric Area Analysis (GAA) technique based on Trapezoidal Area Estimation (TAE) has been proposed based on the Beta Mixture Model (BMM). In this work, we evaluate GAA and TAE techniques using other flexible mixture models based on inverted Beta, generalized Dirichlet, and generalized inverted Dirichlet distributions. The evaluation of this work is performed on two datasets, namely the NSL-KDD and UNSW-NB15. The results have shown the efficiency of the proposed ADS demonstrated by obtaining high accuracy and low false-positive rates in all attack types.
An Accelerated Nonparametric Bayesian Approach for Anomaly Detection with Feature Selection
2022 International Electrical Engineering Congress (iEECON)

The statistical framework considers a Dirichlet process (DP) prior for the generalized inverted Dirichlet (GID) that has proven to be efficient for the clustering of semi-bounded data. In high dimensional spaces, the selection of the most informative and relevant features has an important role in terms of clustering accuracy and thus we include feature weighting to emphasize relevant features. An application that concerns anomaly detection indicates the effectiveness of the proposed framework.
Performance Evaluation of Adversarial Learning for Anomaly Detection using Mixture Models
2021 22nd IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT)
With the rapid advancement in wireless technology and with the introduction of next-generation 5G... more With the rapid advancement in wireless technology and with the introduction of next-generation 5G-wireless networks, a huge amount of data is generated and transmitted across computer networks worldwide. As a result, we have seen a continuous increase in new network threats and anomalies that creates a significant research challenge to handle the vulnerability along with data integrity, confidentiality, and reliability. More precisely, wireless networks are considered to be highly vulnerable to advanced persistent threat (APT) actors. In this paper, we evaluate an adversarial mechanism for anomaly detection using different statistical mixture models. Indeed, to prevent attacks like data poisoning and evasion from affecting the performance of anomaly detection systems, adversarial learning has proven to be very effective in many research studies. The performance of the mechanism, in which several recently proposed mixture models are integrated, was evaluated using both NSL-KDD and UNSW-NB15 data sets, in terms of accuracy, Detection Rates (DRs), False Positive Rates (FPRs), and computational time.

Researchers worldwide are currently giving their best to make antidote for this virus with all available literatures and knowledge. Research carried out indicates sulfated polysaccharides (carrageenan) are selective inhibitors of several enveloped and non-enveloped viruses and act predominantly by inhibiting the binding or internalization of virus into the host cells. Polysaccharides produced from Porphyridium sp. are sulfated polysaccharides which are promising antiviral agents against respiratory viruses from the family of coronavirus. These biocompatible compounds can be used as a coating material on the sanitary items for COVID-19 prevention.

In this study, an efficient Gamma mixture model-based approach for proportional vector clustering is proposed. In particular, a sophisticated entropy-based variational algorithm is developed to learn the model and optimize its complexity simultaneously. Moreover, a component-splitting principle is investigated, here, to handle the problem of model selection and to prevent over-fitting, which is an added advantage, as it is done within the variational framework. The performance and merits of the proposed framework are evaluated on multiple, real-challenging applications including dynamic textures clustering, objects categorization and human gesture recognition.

Fatty acid composition of extracted lipids was analyzed using GCMS to find out their uses in different industrial applications. Chlorella sp. shows the highest protein content of 52% among the 20 strains. Highest lipid content of 29% was observed in Dunaliella sp making it useful in the process of biofuel development. All the strains show presence of saturated fatty acids with monounsaturated fats (MUFA) are found only in 11 strains and polyunsaturated fats (PUFA) are found in 16 strains. Among PUFA ω-3 and ω-6 fatty acids are mostly abundant which have nutraceutical and cosmaceutical applications. Highest carbohydrate content of 70% was found in Pseudoneochloris marina which makes it valuable for food industries.
An Effective Hybrid Anomaly Detection System Based on Mixture Models

Recently, lightweight ADS has been proposed based on a Dirichlet mixture model which is integrated with a decision-making method based on a lower-upper Interquartile range. However, the high-dimensional network data presents a challenge in such systems, as irrelevant features may decline the model performance. This work proposes a hybrid anomaly detection system that uses combinations of different feature selection techniques with a suitable mixture model to provide high accuracy in detecting each attack type. The performance of the proposed framework is evaluated on two well-known datasets, namely, the NSL-KDD and UNSW-NB15. The results have shown the efficiency of the proposed ADS demonstrated by archiving high accuracy and low false-positive rates in all attack types.
