Today we announced earnings results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026. LIXIL CEO Kinya Seto commented, "In the fiscal year ending March 2026, we achieved year-on-year growth in both revenue and profit despite the business environment remaining more challenging than anticipated. Core earnings exceeded our initial forecast. In Japan, the decline in new housing demand was offset by growth in renovation sales, which has been a continuous area of focus, and resulted in higher profits across all segments. In our international business, we achieved a significant improvement in core earnings, particularly in Europe and IMEA. Our strategic initiatives, including structural reforms and our shift to high-value-added products, are progressing and steadily yielding results. Based on the LIXIL Playbook, which outlines our management direction, we have been building a business foundation resilient to external changes. To address geopolitical risks such as the current situation in the Middle East, we are enhancing our agility to respond proactively to changes through the optimization of our supply chain. Furthermore, we have been strategically advancing the development and sales expansion of environmentally friendly and circular products that contribute to improved profitability and mitigate some supply chain risks. These include ‘PremiAL’, a low-carbon aluminum made primarily from scrap aluminum, and ‘revia’, which is made primarily from waste plastic. While the future outlook remains uncertain, we will continue our transformation to strengthen our profitability and achieve sustainable growth." 🌟Leadership That Ignites Passion: Kazuyoshi Kitamura’s Career Journey “With the idea of 'People Led Change' I strive to be a leader who supports colleagues as they chart their way.” As a specialist in the field of manufacturing and production, Kazuyoshi Kitamura uses his 31 years of experience to enhance the workplace experience for all. He does this by placing value on improved communication to support LIXIL’s progress at the front lines. Over the years, he has been maximizing these efforts even more through the “Waku Waku Committee” - an initiate that drives stronger inter-departmental connections 🌱 In this employee story, we meet Kazuyoshi, and visit our Noda plant, where various departments gather. This diverse talent with high levels of specialization posed a challenge to building connections, and to overcome this, the “Waku Waku Committee” was created. Since its launch, they have been recruiting individuals from different departments with the mission of "generating excitement at the Noda plant." Through this initiative, the plant has been able to foster much stronger cross-functional networks, and this has immensely helped in bringing in multiple perspectives as we develop new services and products that can respond to diverse needs of our customers. Kazuyoshi’s aim in his own words: "I hope we can continue to change aspects of our culture to become an even more exciting company to work at."
