Better.ette a republié ceci
This is a long overdue post as when Daniel Varga, MBA told me about his vision to change the world for the better (he might have phrased it a bit less ambitious 🧚♂️ ) by doing small positive actions, recording them, collecting them and inspiring each other with them and that he was building the Better.ette app for that, I immediately signed up. (Well, there was no sign up nor an app at that time but you get what I mean.) His approach perfectly aligns with what I keep on talking about in a work context. We need uplifts, small actions that generate positive emotions, to counteract and buffer against hassles, those tiny everyday annoyances that are part of our worklife. The balance between hassles and uplifts affects our emotions, they become part of our mood, they shape our attitude and behavior. When hassles overpower uplifts the small things add up and over time could lead to even burnout. I don’t need to think very hard to imagine Better.ette as an app we regularly use together with our teammates to create and maintain a positive and supportive work culture like how we used to use kudo cards. Each thing you record turns into a star that shines for a certain amount of time in the night sky of positive actions. The app is still in development but you can already try the public beta: https://lnkd.in/dz_iWfuQ #teamculture #gratitude
