More than 2,000 European Commission staff members are now using an AI Assistant developed by Accenture to navigate complex policy and funding decisions. Our teams have worked with the European Commission's Directorate-General for International Partnerships to design, build and scale the solution from scratch. The assistant takes into account DG INTPA's specific terminology, procedures and policy priorities. By combining advanced language models with secure access to internal knowledge and documents the tool supports teams across more than 100 countries in freeing up capacity for analysis, policy reflection and strategic work. Deploying AI in public sector environments comes with a particular responsibility. That is precisely where AI must deliver more insight, better substantiation and clear accountability. And while 70% of organizations are deploying AI, only 35% are investing in the skills people need to use it. That gap deserves as much attention as the technology itself. AI is reshaping industries across the board, and the pension sector is no exception. Last week, we welcomed 60 young professionals from across the Dutch pension industry for an interactive session with JIIP focused on the opportunities and challenges of AI in pensions. As the sector undergoes one of its most significant transformations in decades, organizations are exploring how AI can enhance participant experiences, improve operational efficiency and support employees in navigating increasingly complex processes. Through practical examples, live demonstrations and open discussion, the event highlighted both the potential of AI and the importance of combining technological innovation with human expertise. Tomorrow’s energy system is being shaped by today’s talent. Recently, we joined the All Energy Day in Rotterdam connecting with talented technical students interested in working at the heart of the energy transition. As our Capital Projects for Utilities capability continues to grow, it was a great opportunity to meet ambitious students who want to help solve one of today’s biggest challenges: expanding and future-proofing the electricity grid. During the event, we hosted two interactive workshops where students worked on real-world utility challenges focused on accelerating the building of critical grid infrastructure. Together, they explored how distribution system operators can leverage Accenture’s global expertise, capabilities, and experience to address some of the sector’s most pressing challenges. Technology is becoming an increasingly important capability in defense. Secure, resilient digital infrastructure is essential for enabling communication, collaboration and information sharing in a rapidly evolving threat landscape. That is why Accenture and Leonardo have signed a seven-year agreement with the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) to help modernize NATO’s digital infrastructure and strengthen resilience across the Alliance. The program will support approximately 29,000 users, helping them communicate, collaborate and access critical information more securely and efficiently. AI will also play a role in enhancing platform security and strengthening resilience against cyber threats. This milestone supports NATO’s ambition to become a digitally enabled Alliance by 2030 and reflects the growing importance of modern digital infrastructure as a strategic capability. We are honored to support NATO and NCIA on this transformation journey and look forward to working together to build a more secure and resilient digital foundation for the Alliance.
