  • The first line of defence has arrived at Le Gerre. 🛡️ The three activated carbon filters have arrived and are now on site, ready to protect the membranes behind them. Raw biogas is anything but clean. Straight from the digester, it contains hydrogen sulphide, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and other trace contaminants that come with the feedstock. Left untreated, they damage the membranes and drive up maintenance costs. That is why pretreatment is crucial. Before the gas reaches the membranes, it passes through activated carbon filters that remove these unwanted compounds. The result is a cleaner gas stream, allowing the upgrading system to efficiently separate biomethane from CO₂ while protecting the equipment downstream. Pretreatment is one of the most important steps in the upgrading process. Every hour of uptime downstream starts with good pretreatment upstream. Curious how pretreatment influences the performance and lifetime of a biogas upgrading plant? We'd be happy to talk. Or watch the video in the comment section to see the full upgrading process in three minutes. #thefutureisBright #biogasupgrading

  • Duurzame technologie voelt soms ver weg.

Proost! #thefutureisbright #Zwartecross2026

  • From biogas to renewable gas for everyday use. ⚡ At Castelnuovo Scrivia, Italy, an existing biogas plant is being converted into a biomethane facility. As part of this transformation, we are delivering the complete biomethane upgrading system, enabling the production of grid-quality biomethane from biogas. The wider project includes four newly built digester tanks from HoSt Group, creating a complete solution for renewable gas production. A key aspect of this installation is where the biomethane goes. Produced for direct use in home appliances, the renewable gas will be injected into the local distribution network, supplying the homes and businesses connected to the grid. This is one of the key opportunities of biomethane: using proven gas infrastructure to integrate renewable energy into everyday energy systems. The technology behind the process is complex. The experience for the end user is simple. First gas injection is planned for 2027. #thefutureisBright #biogasupgrading #co2liquefaction

  • The World Biogas Expo is underway at the NEC Birmingham, and our team is ready to talk renewable gas. 🌱 Our stand is open, with conversations already happening around biogas upgrading, CO₂ liquefaction, and the future of renewable gas across the UK, Ireland, and beyond. One topic keeps coming up: there is more value in biogas than methane alone. Many plants capture the methane and leave CO₂ behind. But that second molecule represents another opportunity: a resource waiting to be unlocked. Come and talk to us about how we can help maximise the value of your biogas projects. Find us at stand D72, today and tomorrow! #thefutureisBright #biogasupgrading #WorldBiogasExpo

  • Heavy transport and maritime shipping are at the heart of the global decarbonisation challenge. ♻️ These sectors don't just need cleaner energy. They need scalable, reliable solutions that can perform under real-world operating conditions today. Bio-LNG has emerged as one of the most mature renewable fuel options, enabled by advances in biomethane production and liquefaction technologies. But Bio-LNG performance is only as strong as what happens upstream. Liquefaction depends on a stable, high-purity biomethane stream with consistently high methane concentrations and minimal impurities. If that quality isn’t secured, efficiency, operational reliability, and LNG fuel compliance are all affected. That’s why our upgrading systems are designed to deliver consistent biomethane quality, strengthening the full value chain from organic waste to renewable fuel for trucks and ships. This is already taking shape in Norway’s Hardanger region, where our upgrading technology is a key part of a new bio-LNG facility. Here, locally produced biogas is upgraded into high-quality biomethane suitable for efficient liquefaction, transforming regional waste streams into renewable fuel for heavy transport and maritime applications. As Bio-LNG scales, it will be defined less by isolated technologies and more by the consistency of the systems that connect them. #thefutureisBright #BiogasUpgrading #BioLNG

  • England helped power the first Industrial Revolution. Today, we're helping power its energy transition. 🏭 From Durham in the north to Murrow in Cambridgeshire, and with projects across Ireland, our biogas upgrading technology is turning locally produced biogas into renewable biomethane that powers homes, businesses and transport. The next energy revolution looks a little different. Less smoke. More sustainability. Built one project, one plant and one grid connection at a time. Next week, the story returns to where it began. On 8 and 9 July we're at the World Biogas Expo at the NEC Birmingham, talking projects, technology, and everything a modern biogas plant can produce. If you're attending, come and meet our team at Stand D72. We'd love to talk to you about our growing presence across the UK and Ireland, our upgrading technology, and why there's more to a biogas plant than methane alone. #WorldBiogasExpo #BiogasUpgrading #Biomethane

  • There were samosas in the canteen today. A little taste of India, to mark a milestone we've been working towards for a long time. 😀 Bright Renewables has secured its first order in India! We're supplying a PurePac Compact biogas upgrading system (700 Nm³/hr) for a project set to be located in Uttar Pradesh. It's our very first biogas upgrading reference in the country, and the start of a new chapter in a market with real momentum behind renewable gas. Getting here wasn't simple. A first project in a new market never is. It took months of effort, a lot of patience, and the commitment of colleagues right across the company to turn an opportunity into an order. Winning the order is the milestone. Now the real work begins. Delivering a successful project, and building a reference that opens the door to many more. So, to everyone involved: congratulations. And to India: we're just getting started. #thefutureisBright #biogasupgrading #newproject
