The Marco Polo Drive of Peace writes two remarkable new chapters, Suzhou and Shanghai. In Suzhou, the city Marco Polo famously described as the "Venice of the East," the convoy followed streets and canals that have connected people, culture and commerce for centuries. Surrounded by more than 2,500 years of history, another FLASH Charging stop showed how the future can seamlessly become part of even the oldest journeys: just 5 minutes to get back on the road, and 9 minutes for a full charge. From there, the journey continued to Shanghai, a city that, much like Suzhou in Marco Polo's time, stands as a global gateway where ideas, cultures and innovation meet. The Marco Polo Drive reaches Luoyang. The ancient capital of thirteen dynasties, where civilizations have converged for over a thousand years. The convoy arrived in Luoyang to experience a city where history is not preserved behind glass, but alive in every street, stone and tradition. The journey began with a FLASH Charging stop at the BYD showroom, where, over a cup of traditional Luoyang peony tea, the fleet recharged in the time it took to finish the cup. From 10% to 97% in just 9 minutes. A quiet but powerful demonstration of what BYD's technology makes possible on a 14,000km all-electric journey. From there, the convoy made its way through the old city past millennium-old landmarks, before arriving at the Longmen Grottoes, one of the greatest treasures of Buddhist art along the Silk Road.
