Two weeks ago, Nearfield Instruments opened its doors to mark a defining moment in our journey—celebrating a decade of Nearfield, the opening of our new cleanroom facilities, and doing so in a week that also saw us reach a market valuation of $1.6 billion and achieve unicorn status, a fitting 10-year anniversary present. We shared the day with the partners, customers, industry leaders, and friends who have helped build our company—and who are shaping what comes next. From keynote sessions and panel discussions to the unveiling of our new cleanroom facilities and an evening of celebration, the day made visible something that is usually built behind the scenes: The people, trust, and shared ambition that power innovation and strengthen Europe’s deep-tech ecosystem. Today marks an important milestone for Nearfield Instruments as we announce the successful closure of our Series-D funding round. The round was significantly oversubscribed, reflecting strong confidence in Nearfield’s role as a global leader in semiconductor metrology and inspection. We are proud to welcome new investors Fidelity Investments and Qatar Investment Authority, and deeply value the continued participation of our existing investors. A big thank you to Innovation Industries, Invest-NL, Temasek, M&G Investments, Walden Catalyst Ventures, TNO Ventures and ING Corporate Investments, who significantly participated in this Series-D round. Your continuous support and conviction have been fundamental in helping Nearfield reach this stage and in building the foundation for our next phase of global scaling. We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to pension funds Pensioenfonds Metaal en Techniek ( PMT ) and PME pensioenfonds, via Innovation Industries, for their support since our earlier funding rounds, and to Pensioenfonds ABP for its participation in this Series-D round. This funding will enable us to accelerate our innovation roadmap, establish worldwide Application Centers of Excellence, significantly expand production capacity, strengthen our global customer support organization, and deepen collaborative R&D with leading semiconductor manufacturers.
