🚀 Milestone Alert: Silencio Takes Flight : While continuing our ground-to-air testing, we have now achieved another major step: Silencio is officially in the air. Thanks to #EuroDeftech for selecting #OrbionTechnologies for its mission-driven one-week test campaign. We had the opportunity to integrate our #SilencioCompactRadarSystem with an #Elistair tethered drone platform and perform airborne surveillance and airspace screening missions. This marks an exciting first for us: a compact #EuropeanESA #AirborneRadar flying onboard a European drone platform, demonstrating the potential of lightweight, #LowSWaP-C radar technology for next-generation aerial sensing applications. Beyond the technology itself, this is also a strong example of #Europeansovereignty in action: a Dutch company collaborating with a French technology partner to deliver a shared mission and strengthen Europe’s autonomous defence and security capabilities. A significant milestone for the teams, but only the beginning of the journey. Strong momentum continues at Orbion Technologies. Over the past months, we have been combining market validation, partner conversations, and technical field testing to sharpen the direction of our Silencio radar platform. --> Business side: On the business side, we attended several key industry events: #BEDEX – Brussels European Defence Exhibition & Conference #Intertraffic2026 in Amsterdam #XPONENTIAL Europe 2026 in Düsseldorf Across these events, we spoke with more than 20 potential customers, partners, and ecosystem stakeholders across civil security, drone operations, critical infrastructure, and defence. One clear signal came back from the market: The need for compact, affordable, and EU-origin radar solutions is becoming more visible. --> Technology side: On the technology side, we completed important RevA field testing and gathered valuable real-world data. Based on these learnings, we are now moving toward the next RevB board and preparing for another round of field testing. When we say Silencio is a compact ESA Radar Unit, we truly mean it. Silencio is smaller than a 10" Ipad yet engineered to deliver powerful sensing capabilities in a lightweight form factor. Despite its compact size, Silencio can detect a 1 m² RCS object at 1.5 km and provides an instrumented range of up to 6 km.
