The #HDSAConvention concluded a fantastic event with its Awards Dinner & Gala, highlighted by the moving candlelighting ceremony. This powerful tradition honors those the community has lost and those we are all fighting for. The light symbolizes the courage of caregivers, the strength of advocates, the brilliance of researchers, and the resilience of families. We were deeply honored to take part. Thank you Huntington's Disease Society of America for an inspiring and energizing weekend.

The Opening Ceremony of today's #HDSAConvention included an update from uniQure following our recent AMT-130 regulatory news. uniQure Patient Advocacy's Payal Venugopal outlined next steps and expressed our sincere gratitude to the community: "We want to say a heartfelt thank you to the #HuntingtonsDisease community. Patients, families, and advocacy partners are truly at the center of this work. Your willingness to share your experiences has helped ensure the patient voice is heard... We also recognize the critical role of clinical trial participation and advocacy. Efforts like Enroll-HD, participation in research, and ongoing advocacy have been essential in advancing understanding of HD. Every contribution has helped drive meaningful progress and key milestones... A big thank you to HDSA for your continued advocacy efforts including the recent meetings with lawmakers and shaping the next advocacy patient leaders, many of whom are in this room. To the HD Coalition leaders, advances in this field are possible because of this partnership. Your collaboration is helping move science forward and bringing us closer to new treatment options."

The uniQure team was proud to walk alongside the Huntington's Disease Society of America (HDSA) at Boston's Castle Island today! Our spirited group participated in the Team Hope Walk, raising vital funds for HD research, family services, and advocacy. Together, we’re walking toward a treatment for #HuntingtonsDisease.

Our Lexington team rolled up our sleeves recently for uniQure's first community service event with Life Science Cares Boston, assembling nearly 300 hygiene kits for youth served by Bridge Over Troubled Waters -- each one packed with essentials and a hand-written note of encouragement. It was a fast-paced and fun afternoon, providing an opportunity to connect with colleagues while helping the community.

May is Huntington's Disease Awareness Month, and this week we had a powerful opportunity to hear directly from the #huntingtonsdisease community we work for every day, as we welcomed rare disease advocate and author Erin Paterson to our Lexington office for a fireside chat. Erin is gene positive and a caregiver for her father, who is living with HD. She spoke candidly about the challenges of caregiving and depression as well as the power of community and positivity. We are grateful to Erin for sharing her story with us in recognition of #HDAwarenessMonth.
