Abstract The goal of this paper is to examine bounded emotionality and polygamous tradition in an entrepreneurial family business in Nigeria. We argue that it is essential to consider culture of polygamy among family firms especially in the south west Nigeria. The multiple case method was used to provide valuable insights into entrepreneurial family businesses in Nigeria. To achieve better results, cases were drawn from diverse business sectors like merchandising, manufacturing and consultancy services among the family firms in South West, Nigeria. The paper analyses the limit of bounded emotionality, impact of nepotism and family ties in the polygamous family businesses. The findings reveal that the polygamous tradition has being in existence mostly in Africa for decades, hence, it brings some degree of sensitivity and unison to the family business. Finally, the paper demonstrates the importance of conducting further research on the concept of polygamy in Africa and tis impact on the family business.

business in Nigeria. The study was carried out through exploratory research, thereby providing an
outline of innovation in family firms and the implication to the business development. The paper aims
to understand the dynamics of innovativeness of family firms’ members towards the business growth.
The researchers conducted in depth multiple case study of five family businesses to provide an insight
into innovative abilities of family firms’ members and how it affects the general performance of the
organisation in terms of productivity, growth, efficiency and effectiveness. The findings indicate that
family firms innovate rapidly due to absolute participation, family ties and members’ commitment to
the business sustainability

The aim of this paper is to investigate women entrepreneurship, because enhancing women’s participation in entrepreneurship does not only generate income for those women’s families, but they also create jobs for men and women alike, thus, alleviating poverty and abolishing unemployment.
Therefore, in an attempt to increase the female total entrepreneurial activities (TEA) within Egypt and Nigeria, this paper aims to investigate the challenges facing female entrepreneurs operating in Egypt, in relative to, Nigeria. In this regard, both researchers undertook a qualitative approach due to the scarcity of the literature reviewed on the topic; in those particular countries, and as an in-depth comparative mode. Therefore, ten Egyptian entrepreneurs in relative to ten Nigerian entrepreneurs were in-depth investigated.

It explains how professional purchasing/supply management and accounting personnel contribute at least as much to the success of their organisation in areas such as supplier sourcing, or substitute materials, price determination, value analysis, outsourcing, make or buy analysis, invoice settlement and payment. At the most fundamental level, supply management concerns quick execution of work expeditiously, without fault in a cost effective manner. The paper details efficacy of goods inspection and reception procedure for the right quality and quantity through the association of purchasing and accounting department. The findings suggest that a cooperative relationship between purchasing and accounting/finance clearly can impact the development of a good supplier relations and cost reduction for the benefit of an organisation.

Social entrepreneurship is an innovative social value-creating activity that can take place among... more Social entrepreneurship is an innovative social value-creating activity that can take place among the non-governmental institutions, not-for-profit organisations, business, or government sector. Social entrepreneurs identify a challenging gap in society, discover the root causes of the problems and apply their entrepreneurial skills to proffer solution. The multi-case study was used to examine the challenges facing social entrepreneurs in Nigeria. Findings reveal that social entrepreneurship are yet to receive widespread recognition and necessary support from both the society and the Nigeria government, so, this has made full extent of its contribution inaccessible. Operating social enterprises has peculiar problems and is frequently a more complex task than that of operating other businesses. The study finally analyses the social enterprise challenges and suggests the best ways for the sustainability of social entrepreneurship for the society benefits and the well-being of the masses.
