For their own intents and purposes, they solely focus on his life-i.e. he is the protagonist in his personal story. He is the treasure revealer (gter ston), the madman (smyon pa), and an incarnation of Jigme Lingpa ('jigs med gling pa, 1730-1798). There is no reason why those compositions would not address him specifically, but we know that a personal lineage and a lineage of revealed treasure (gter ma) teachings usually does not end with the revealer. The progenitor commonly entrusts the teachings to another person or passes on the teachings to people if the right conditions are met for such an event. This is what happened for Do Khyentse Yeshe Dorje as he entrusted and passed on his teachings, even through his family line.

It dealt with the fundamental structures of a Nyingma sādhana, its four stages of approach and accomplishment. This opened up the presentation on how these four stages interlace with the Great Accomplishment Ceremony (Drubchen). The aim was to present students an opportunity to see the overarching themes in a Drubchen since if one knows Drubchens, then one knows the core of Nyingma rituals.

Taking into consideration the spheres of academia and Buddhist practice transmission, we will address the themes of translating, the role of the translator, and methods of translation. In addition to allotting time for inquiries and discussion, space is most importantly offered for a mixture of individual and collaborative in-class translation. Be ready to dabble your digits on the keyboard, prance your pens on the paper, or silently sit and survey.
