Heba Mahmoud S. Abdel Naby

Prof. Dr. Heba Mahmoud S. AbdelNaby is a Professor of Islamic History and Archaeology at the Faculty of Tourism, Alexandria University, Egypt, and currently, she is the Cultural Attache and Director of the Egyptian Cultural and Educational Bureau in Washington DC.
Prof. Heba AbdelNaby was a visiting professor and scholar at Max Planck Institute for the History of Science in 2021 and 2022, working on the "Agriculture and the making of knowledge" project. She was also a fellow of George Washington University, the USA in 2017, affiliated with the Museum Studies Department. Moreover, she was a Fulbright scholar and lecturer at Mary Baldwin University, VA, USA in 2007/2008. She also held several managerial positions such as Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, Head of the Tourist Guiding Department, and Executive Director of the Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty of Tourism- Alexandria University.
Prof. Heba AbdelNaby was a member of many international research projects such as "EGYLandscape", "Reframing Heritage Education in Egypt", "Education and Capacity Building in Museum Studies" and "Intercultural Relation between East and West from 11th to 21st Century". Moreover, she was a keynote speaker and gave lectures at many prestigious institutions such as Phillips University, The Library of Congress, and Alexandria Library.
