  • Leadership: How to turn sustainability goals into competitive advantage Meyer Turku, a Finnish shipyard, has taken concrete steps toward more sustainable shipbuilding. The company is embracing circular business models and ecodesign principles, while also exploring alternative fuel options, including biofuels, methanol, and ammonia. This approach is helping improve the sustainability of its cruise ships across their full life cycle. Modular cabins and optimized hydrodynamic systems help reduce material use, lower emissions, and improve energy efficiency. ➡️ Read the full insights: https://lnkd.in/ejjDADjr #makingfuture

  • The future of SAF won't look the same everywhere. Different regions bring different strengths, opportunities and challenges. Feedstocks, renewable energy resources, industrial infrastructure and market conditions all influence which pathways make the most commercial sense. Understanding these regional differences is essential to developing successful SAF projects. It takes local insight, combined with experience across global markets, to identify the right pathway and turn opportunities into viable projects. ✈️ Explore how AFRY supports clients across the full SAF ecosystem: https://bit.ly/4vUPkWp #makingfuture

Partnerships are built by people. We're proud to see our colleague Alessio Giuffra receive this commemorative tombstone from Enery in recognition of a strong and trusted partnership. Most recently, AFRY supported the landmark Ogrezeni Hybrid Renewable Energy Project in Romania, one of Europe's largest hybrid renewable energy developments, helping advance the energy transition through expertise and collaboration. This recognition is a reflection of the trust, commitment, and long-term relationships that colleagues like Alessio help build every day. Congratulations, Alessio, and thank you for representing AFRY with such professionalism and dedication. 👏 #makingfuture

  • How can Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) scale faster? By making it work with what already exists💡 At AFRY, we help clients integrate SAF across existing energy and industrial systems – from production and distribution to end use. By connecting new fuel streams to established infrastructure and value chains, we enable a more practical and cost-efficient transition. The result? Scalable, future-ready solutions that bridge today’s systems with tomorrow’s low-carbon aviation. Get actionable insights here ➡️ https://bit.ly/4vCGwUM #energytransition #SAF

  • How do you assess whether deep geological formations can safely contain radioactive waste for thousands of years? 🔬 As part of Nagra - Nationale Genossenschaft für die Lagerung radioaktiver Abfälle's deep borehole investigation program in Switzerland, AFRY supported hydraulic testing and fluid logging analysis at depths of up to 1,400 metres. Using our in-house developed simulator MULTISIM, we combined field data with advanced numerical modelling to characterize subsurface formations and reduce uncertainty in safety assessments. The project demonstrates how digital tools, hydrogeological expertise, and data-driven analysis support the safe, long-term disposal of radioactive waste. Learn more about the project here: https://bit.ly/4h2CHDJ *The graph below is re-shared with acceptance from Nagra, who created it. #makingfuture #nuclearenergy

  • How do we design streets that are safe for children? Around schools, even small changes can reshape how space is used – especially when traffic is reduced or removed entirely. By introducing car-free zones and studying how children actually move before and after, it becomes clear what improves safety and inclusion in practice. These insights help design streets that are not only safer, but also more accessible – supporting children’s independence in everyday life. • Greener ride: The route to low-carbon transport runs through more than the tailpipe. Transport drives nearly one-sixth of global greenhouse gas emissions, and it's the only sector where emissions are still rising. In our AFRY Insights article, we explore how electrification, alternative fuels, circular manufacturing, and smarter infrastructure can work together to accelerate the shift. The message is clear: To build the cars of tomorrow, manufacturers need a mix of multiple technologies to reduce emissions. Progress depends on policymakers, energy providers, and industry experts finding solutions together. ➡️ Read the full insights: https://lnkd.in/ef8RdyWx #makingfuture
