📣 Today, we are launching 𝗠𝗢𝗦𝗔𝗜𝗖 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲: Mobilizing Systems and Investment for Menstrual Conditions. The first coordinated, systems-level investment platform designed to align philanthropic, public, and private capital for menstrual conditions and disorders. 🩸Every month, millions of women are asked to carry pain, bleeding, fatigue, infertility, metabolic disruption, and uncertainty as if it were simply part of life. #Endometriosis affects an estimated 190 million women globally. #PMOS affects 10-13% of reproductive-aged women, and up to 70% of affected remain undiagnosed. Heavy menstrual bleeding may affect anywhere from 5%- 58% (?!) of women, depending on how it is measured. Up to 80% of women develop uterine fibroids by age 50. Chronic pelvic pain affects an estimated 1 in 4 women worldwide. 🌍 The burden is global, but it is not shared equally. Women in #LMICs carry the same conditions with a fraction of the diagnostics, treatment, and research available in higher income countries. This gap between how common these conditions are and how little we fund, study, or treat them -- is a massive problem. Behind every statistic is a woman who has been told to wait. To normalize it. To manage it. To push through. No longer. MOSAIC will align philanthropic, public, and private capital around a shared investment logic: identify where promising science, diagnostics, therapeutics, care models, and enabling infrastructure are stalled; match each bottleneck with the right form of capital; and ensure solutions are designed for both high-income and low- and middle-income markets from the start. MOSAIC will mobilize more than $100M by 2030 to move this field from fragmented, underpowered funding to a disciplined capital architecture that supports the pipeline from discovery to scale and centers global health equity at every step.
