Great to see Joe Cunningham, Founder of akuig, contributing to the Telco Aegis Catalyst project. The results of the project were presented at Digital Transformation World (DTW) in Copenhagen last month. akuig is an Irish founded company that helps telco providers use AI agents and automation to improve how networks are managed, secured, and optimised. The Telco Aegis Catalyst project brings together industry leaders and ecosystem partners to help communications service providers (CSPs) become more resilient digital service providers. The project demonstrates how AI, automation, and governance can work together to strengthen cybersecurity, protect privacy, meet regulatory requirements, and improve customer trust. A strong example of collaborative innovation through joint work between industry leaders like Ericsson, technology providers and other ecosystem partners. 

𝐈𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐁𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐛𝐲 𝐅𝐚̈𝐥𝐭𝐝𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 Thomas Sheridan shares his positive two days at Borgeby Fältdagar 2026, where several Irish companies had products and machinery on show through their Swedish and Danish dealer partners, including McHale, Malone Farm Machinery, Prodig Attachments, EASYFIX, KEENAN, an Alltech company, Future Grass Technology Ltd. and Slanetrac Engineering. In particular, it was great to catch up with Fearghail Connolly of Malone Farm Machinery and discuss Malone’s progress in Sweden over the past year through their local partner Rosenqvist Maskin. There was strong interest from local Swedish farmers, along with clear positivity around the quality of Irish products on display. Beyond Borgeby Fältdagar, there are further key agri events taking place later in 2026, including Elmia Lantbruk in October in Jönköping and Agromek in November in Herning, Denmark. 𝐁𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐛𝐲 𝐅𝐚̈𝐥𝐭𝐝𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟏 Thomas Sheridan from the Stockholm team is looking forward to visiting Borgeby Fältdagar once again, Sweden’s most important summer agri machinery event, with over 300 exhibitors, including local dealers for Enterprise Ireland client companies such as EASYFIX and KEENAN, an Alltech company. The main theme for Borgeby Fältdagar 2026 is Robust Agriculture, with a focus on supporting Swedish farmers to make better choices across plant protection and soil cultivation techniques. There is also major investment being made across Sweden’s food production sector, with large projects underway by Lantmännen and Arla Foods across plant and dairy facilities. This reflects a strong need to support farmers in increasing food production and strengthening food security in Sweden over the coming years. Sweden’s agri sector is receiving renewed focus and is increasingly open to solutions from external partners. For Irish companies across the agri sector, Sweden represents a strong market with an established need for well-defined, high-value products that can deliver practical, farm-tested solutions across crop management, animal welfare and sustainability. Working on a major pharmaceutical project in Denmark, EIDA has supported the management of large-scale, highly regulated builds, handling over 100,000 weld records, thousands of test packs and safety permits through a single platform. Their focus on detail, traceability and real time data has helped streamline quality and compliance on projects where precision is critical. As Eoin Reidy notes, in environments like pharma manufacturing, even minor issues can have significant consequences, making accurate documentation essential. Success in the Nordic market has also been underpinned by strong on the ground collaboration, with team members including Ben Carpenter working closely with clients and contractors to embed new processes and systems. What was once a hardware led product is becoming a continuously evolving platform, where software, data and integration define performance and user experience. Following discussions at VECS Automotive in Gothenburg, Thomas Sheridan, Senior Market Adviser at Enterprise Ireland Nordics, observed how Nordic OEMs such as Volvo Cars and Scania Group are leading this transition. The move toward unified software architectures and closer collaboration with technology partners is changing how value is created and how ecosystems operate. For Ireland, this creates a natural alignment. Capabilities in software, electronics, connectivity and engineering services are increasingly relevant as OEMs look beyond traditional supply chains and towards integrated partnerships.
