We are building a new microdatabase of modern slavery in Brazil from over 37,000 pages of inspection reports written by Brazil's anti-slavery task force between 1995 and 2024. Each report is coded under a structured protocol into variables covering coercion mechanisms, financial entrapment, recruitment, degrading conditions, and the testimony of rescued workers.
