With summer in full swing, we're excited to share highlights from the SDG AI Lab Summer 2026 Demo Day! 🚀    Hosted online on July 7, the event brought together UNDP Country Offices 🌍, policymakers, technology experts 💡, and development partners 🤝 to explore AI-powered solutions advancing the Sustainable Development Goals.    🌐 As part of our commitment to inclusivity and multilingual knowledge sharing, we also hosted our first-ever French-language Demo Day on July 8, welcoming the Francophone digital community to exchange ideas and discover frontier AI solutions.   Here's a glimpse of the live demos we showcased: ✈️ AI for Tourism in Malawi & Tanzania 💰 Public Finance and Audit platforms in Fiji 🇫🇯 & Micronesia 🌦️ Madagascar's Multi-Hazard Early Warning System 🌱 Guinea Environmental Digital Hub  📊 Digital Social Vulnerability Index (DSVI) preliminary results for Roma communities in Georgia, Moldova, & Ukraine   We also shared updates on Tech Volunteers for Resilience (Tech4R) and our skills development programmes, including Frontier Tech Leaders Programme, Innovation Campus, and new Game Development Bootcamps.    A big thank you to everyone who joined us! 🚀 We’re hiring: GIS Fellow – Future Tech Leaders (FTL) Brazil Programme We’re looking for a passionate and skilled GIS Fellow to join the UNDP ICPSD’s SDG AI Lab and contribute to the Future Tech Leaders (FTL) Programme in Brazil and other Portuguese speaking FTL implementations! Today, we celebrate International Volunteers Day 💙 and extend our heartfelt gratitude to every volunteer who has contributed to our AI projects, delivered trainings to aspiring leaders, labelled data, and supported our mission in countless ways ♾️ Sharing this throwback to our early days 🥹 — a reminder that SDG AI Lab has been built and powered by volunteers from the very beginning. Their passion shaped the Lab’s foundation and continues to drive our growth 💪 Today, 150 United Nations Volunteers are supporting Tech4R initiative across Armenia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, and Bosnia and Herzegovina—developing digital solutions for resilience, including safety training games for children, tools for disaster impact assessment digitalization, and more.
