Descriptive statistics were subsequently calculated with SPSS. Results Most of our sample's of Psychiatrists estimated that the DD prevalence was higher than the one previously established. Ninety-three percent of the sample considered the SGAs as the first treatment option in DD, being Aripiprazol 20.7%, Risperidone 17.4% and Paliperidone 15% the first line treatment chosen by our Psychiatrists. Conclusions and proposals There is an increasing gap between the old standard DD treatment and the clinical practice of Andalusian Psychiatrists, for this reason we emphasize the need of implementing clinical trials and effectiveness clinical studies. Disclosure of interest The authors have not supplied their declaration of competing interest.

Research indicates that engagement and disaffection are two complementary factors with two domains: behavioral and emotional. Unfortunately, there are no multidimensional instruments available in Spanish. Therefore, a study was conducted to analyze the psychometric properties of the Spanish version of Engagement vs. Disaffection with Learning (EDL). A sample of 194 participants was analyzed in terms of distribution of item responses, factor structure, internal consistency, and the correlation with other measures of engagement and personality traits. Results confirmed the scale's reliability in terms of internal consistency. However, some problematic items were identified. The Spanish version of the EDL appears to be a promising scale for assessing engagement among Spanishspeaking students, with the need to review some of its previous items. The EDL could be a useful tool for educators and researchers in the field of education.

Later, the preliminary scale was empirically validated (Reeve, 2013) to assess the students' active contribution during the education process. This work presents a preliminary study of the psychometric properties of the Spanish version of the Agentic Engagement Scale (AES). Using a sample of 194 participants, we analyzed item responses distribution, factor structure, internal consistency, and evidence based on the relationship between the AES and other measures of engagement and personality traits. The results confirmed its one-factor structure and its reliability in terms of internal consistency. In conclusion, the Spanish version of the AES seems to be a promising scale to assess agentic engagement in Spanish-speaking students.

Methods: Searches (limited to those published from 2008 to 2012) were performed in Medline, PsycINFO and CINAHL. Included studies described participants with schizophrenia, were original articles, and included only subjects who were at least 18 years of age at study entry. All concepts underlying the measures and the text of the articles were extracted, and they were linked to ICF categories using standardized rules. Results: From the 3,584 abstracts retrieved, 348 were randomly selected, and of these, 206 studies met the inclusion criteria. A total of 17,141 concepts were extracted, 84.8% of which could be linked to 491 ICF categories: 222 (45.21%) of the categories referred to Body Functions, 29 (5.91%) to Body Structures, 186 (37.88%) to Activities and Participation and 54 (11%) to Environmental Factors. Seventy second-level categories were reported in at least 5% of all studies: 30 of these categories referred to Body Functions, 2 to Body Structures, 34 to Activities and Participation and 4 to Environmental Factors. Conclusion: The study has allowed us to identify and quantify the main concepts included in studies focusing on people with schizophrenia using the ICF. The majority of the concepts refer to Body Functions and Activities and Participation, rather than to Body Structures and Environmental Factors.

The objective of this study was to investigate the psychometric properties of the Spanish Gaming Disorder Test (GDT) by assessing its dimensionality, reliability, convergent validity, and associations with other variables of importance through polytomous Item Response Theory (IRT) and Measurement Invariance (MI) analysis across genders. To achieve this, a sample of 538 gamers (42.94% female, mean age = 23.29 years, SD = 7.24) was recruited. The results obtained supported a one-factor structure for the Spanish GDT with adequate reliability and convergent validity. Furthermore, satisfactory goodness of fit in the partial credit model (PCM) with more precise scores at high trait levels to assess GD was found, and strict invariance across genders was supported. These findings attest to the suitability of the Spanish GDT for clinical assessment and research on disordered gaming beyond community samples.

This study aimed to: a) estimate the network structure of the Brief ICF-CS for schizophrenia, b) examine the community structure (categories strongly clustered together) underlying this network, and c) identify the most central categories within this network. Methods: A total of 638 health professionals from different backgrounds and with a significant role in the treatment of individuals with schizophrenia participated in a series of Delphi studies. Based on their responses we used the Ising model to estimate the network structure of the 25-category Brief ICF-CS, and then estimated the degree of centrality for all categories. Finally, the community structure was detected using the walktrap algorithm. Results: The resulting network revealed strong associations between individual categories within components of the ICF (i.e., Body functions, Activities and participation, and Environmental factors). The results also showed three distinct clusters of categories corresponding to the same three components. The categories e410 Individual attitudes of immediate family members, e450 Individual attitudes of health professionals, d910 Community life, and d175 Solving problems were among the most central categories in the Brief ICF-CS network. Conclusion: These results demonstrate the utility of a network approach for estimating the structure of the ICF-CSs. Implications of these results for clinical interventions and development of new instruments are discussed.

Method: For the selection of the sample, the diversity of the participants was taken into account. The sample size was determined by saturation of the data. Each participant was conducted a semi-structured interview that was recorded and subsequent transcribed. From the constructivist paradigm a qualitative analysis of the content was carried out. Finally, the concepts identified were linked to the categories of the ICF. Results: Twenty family members participated in the interviews conducted, reporting a total of 105 categories of the ICF, of which 58.2% coincide with the categories of the full version and 84% with those of the short version, all of them included in the CS for schizophrenia. Conclusions: The use of individual interviews, indicate that CS for schizophrenia as a reference framework for obtaining information related to functionality in people diagnosed with schizophrenia.

The International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) Core Sets for schizophrenia are shortlists of ICF categories that are relevant for describing the functioning and disability of people suffering from schizophrenia. The aims of this study were to explore the content validity of these Core Sets from the perspective of psychiatrists and to identifyfrom this perspective and using the ICF frameworkthe most common problems of patients with schizophrenia. In a three-round survey using the Delphi technique, psychiatrists experienced in schizophrenia treatment were asked about the problems they commonly encounter in these patients. A total of 352 psychiatrists from 63 countries representing all six WHO regions responded to the first-round questionnaire, and 303 completed all three rounds (86% response rate). From the first-round responses, 7133 concepts were extracted and linked to 387 ICF categories and 35 personal factors. Of these, consensus (≥75% agreement) was reached for 91 ICF categories and 31 personal factors. Eighty-seven of the 97 ICF categories that form the Comprehensive ICF Core Set for schizophrenia were represented in this list. Only four of the categories for which consensus was reached do not feature in the Comprehensive Core Set. From the perspective of psychiatrists the content validity of the ICF Core Sets for schizophrenia was largely supported. This suggests that these Core Sets offer an effective framework for describing functioning and disability in individuals with schizophrenia.

A specifi c list of ICF categories, an ICF Core Set (CS), has been developed for bipolar disorder, depression and schizophrenia. The aim of this study was to determine commonalities in the ICF-CSs for these three disorders, and to identify relevant categories for the development of tentative ICF-CSs for severe mental disorders in general. Methods: The ICF categories of all three mental health conditions were examined and compared. Results: Comparison of the Comprehensive ICF-CSs for the three mental health conditions revealed a set of 34 common categories (i.e., 10 from the Body functions component, 14 from the Activities and participation component, and 10 Environmental factors). These categories formed the proposed Comprehensive ICF-CS for severe mental disorders. A total of 11 categories were common to the Brief ICF-CSs of the three mental health conditions, and these formed the Brief ICF-CS for severe mental disorders (i.e., 3 from the Body functions component, 6 from the Activities and participation component, and 2 Environmental factors). All the categories included refer to key aspects of functioning for severe mental disorders. Conclusions: The proposed ICF-CSs for severe mental disorders may be applicable across a number of psychotic and affective disorders and they should prove useful for mental health services whose care remit covers a range of conditions.

We pre-processed MRI data with SPM8 and DARTEL. Then, we used thalamic grey matter volumes (GMV) as features in the random forests prediction of disease status at the single subject level. Finally, we tested SPQ scores differences between FP and TN with Mann-Whitney test. Results The classification accuracy was 71%. FP had greater SPQ scores compared to TN (P = 0.007). Conclusions Classification accuracy of our classifier in an independent sample suggests that thalamic GMV patterns are reproducible markers of disease status. Furthermore, the present results also suggest that variability of thalamic GMV patterns in HC may have relevance for subclinical phenotypes related to schizophrenia spectrum. Methods: A three-round Delphi study with physiotherapists was conducted between April and July 2018. In the first round, participants had to list all the aspects they considered to be relevant when assessing and/or treating individuals with schizophrenia, and they were asked six open-ended questions. Their responses were linked to categories. In the second and third rounds, physiotherapists had to judge whether each category/personal factor was relevant for describing functioning in schizophrenia. Results: Thirteen of 22 eligible physiotherapists from eight countries responded to the first round, and 10 completed all three rounds. Eighty-two (84.5%) of the 97 categories in the Comprehensive Core Set for schizophrenia and all 25 categories in the Brief Core Set were considered relevant. A total of five categories were additionally identified. Conclusions: The barriers, personal characteristics/resources, and environmental factors from the physiotherapists' perspective have been identified. The results largely confirm the content validity of the Core Sets for schizophrenia. ä IMPLICATIONS FOR REHABILITATION This study shows which barriers, personal characteristics/resources, and environmental factors in persons with schizophrenia are relevant from physiotherapists' perspective and should be integrated in the rehabilitation process. The content validity of the Comprehensive and Brief Core Sets for schizophrenia is largely supported from the physiotherapists' perspective and therefore could be used in the assessment of functioning in persons with schizophrenia. The Comprehensive and Brief ICF Core Sets for schizophrenia could be used to plan and assess multidisciplinary rehabilitation interventions.

We also considered the potential influence of participants' sociodemographic and professional characteristics. Five three-round Delphi studies were conducted independently, in which a total of 628 mental health experts responded to all three rounds. In each study, participants had to decide, based on their experience, whether a series of categories were relevant. The percentage of group agreement (i.e., percentage of participants who considered each category as relevant) in round 2 was shown as feedback in round 3, and responses in rounds 2 and 3 were considered to analyze opinion change. Results showed that when the feedback given in round 3 indicated that ≥75% of experts considered a category to be relevant, there was a further shift in opinion towards the group opinion (i.e., the category then yielded even greater consensus), whereas if the feedback indicated <75% group agreement, individual opinions tended to shift against the group opinion (i.e., consensus over the category decreased). Neither sociodemographic nor professional variables had a significant effect in explaining opinion shift. These results show that in Delphi studies, feedback has an influence on individual responses and the achievement of consensus.

Internet gaming disorder (IGD) has been recognized by the American Psychiatric Association (APA) ... more Internet gaming disorder (IGD) has been recognized by the American Psychiatric Association (APA) as a tentative disorder in the latest (fifth) revision of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5). However, psychometric evaluation of the nine IGD criteria remains necessary to further enhance its assessment. Therefore, the objective of this study was to evaluate the psychometric properties of the Spanish version of the Internet Gaming Disorder Scale-Short Form (IGDS9-SF). The internal structure, internal consistency, temporal stability, and relationships with other variables were assessed. Furthermore, a polytomous item response theory (IRT) approach was used to evaluate the performance of each item and the test as a whole. A sample of 388 online gamers (53.61% women, mean age 25.45 years, standard deviation (SD) = 9.62) was recruited for this study. Similar to previous research, the results supported a one-factor structure for the IGDS9-SF, adequate internal consistency and temporal stability of scores, goodness of fit of the items to the graded response model (GRM), and more precise scores at high trait levels to assess IGD in Spanish populations. These findings corroborate the suitability of the Spanish IGDS9-SF for clinical assessment and research within Spanish-speaking populations.
