Day 3 of Safety Week with the andwis. focused on one of the biggest risks across our industry — Working at Height. To support the session, we set up a practical demo area featuring “Manny” to help demonstrate safe working practices, hazard awareness, and the importance of proper planning before carrying out any work at height. The statistics reinforce why these conversations matter: - 124 workers were killed at work across all industries - 35 deaths were caused by falls from height — the single largest cause of workplace fatalities - Around 30–35% of all construction fatalities involve falls from height - Over 4,000 non-fatal injuries from falls at height occur every year At Custom Intelligent Security, safety is not just a compliance exercise, it is part of our culture and a responsibility shared by everyone across the business. With our current focus on mental health awareness and wellbeing in the workplace, it was fantastic to bring everyone together yesterday for our first ever CUSTOM football tournament! A huge thank you to everyone who gave up part of their Sunday to take part. Hopefully, everyone enjoyed themselves as much as the scouts in the stands did! Special thanks to IMAGE TO SUIT YOU LIMITED, our long standing workwear partner for over 10 years, who kindly sponsored the event and provided the Match shirts! There were some cracking games throughout the tournament, with moments of real quality on display - alongside a few “interesting” tactical decisions and some world-class spectating performances! Congratulations to 'AS Hardly Athletic' for winning the tournament beating 'Custom Barely Athletic FC' (who finished top of the league) 3-1 in the final.

Today we kick-started our andwis. group wide Health & Safety Week with a focus on Mental Health Awareness. Our Mental Health First Aider, Shelley Cain, hosted both online and office-based awareness sessions, focusing on the importance of recognising mental health, encouraging open conversations, and building positive everyday habits to support wellbeing. Our Health & Safety Manager, Jack Warner hosted a walk and talk session to demonstrate the benefits of getting out in the fresh air. Last night we held our Custom Quiz Night and what a brilliant evening it turned out to be! 🎉 A huge thank you to everyone who came along – the competitive spirit was strong, the answers were… occasionally questionable 😄, and there were plenty of laughs along the way.
