  • Not all batteries are created equal. 🔋 David in Taunton, England pairs two Enphase IQ Battery 5P units with Octopus Energy Intelligent Octopus Flux. In January, Enphase PowerMatch switched on. Same home, same solar panels, same tariff. The result, straight from his own system data: comparing January to July 2025 with the same period in 2026, his grid imports dropped 46% — from 1,891 kWh to 1,022 kWh — even with a noticeably less sunny spring. And his household used virtually the same amount of electricity in both periods. The best part? His household used virtually the same amount of electricity in both windows. He didn't use less. He bought less. Homeowners can now add backup power with the IQ System Controller, expand storage with IQ Battery 5P, or do both – all while continuing to use the batteries they already own.
