We're also delighted that our Food Heroes programme helped introduce new schools to the competition and encouraged even more children to get involved. Households across the North of England have £60 less a week to spend after essential costs than those in southern regions, according to our latest Asda Income Tracker, produced by Cebr. Data shows households across the North East, North West and Yorkshire and the Humber had an average of £202 a week left after essential spending in the three months to June 2026, compared with £262 a week across the East of England, South East, London and South West. Our Apprenticeship Levy Transfer scheme is continuing to back apprenticeships across the country, including helping more people get the support they need to look after their mental health💚 As part of our Levy Transfer scheme, we have committed £120,000 to support 24 learners across national and local Mind organisations to take part in the Corndel Managing with Purpose apprenticeship programme. With 1 in 4 adults experiencing a mental health problem, we’re proud to play a part in changing that. We've pledged over £3m in Levy Transfer this year, and our support for apprenticeships like this continue to make a significant impact on local businesses, strengthening organisations that support millions across the UK.

Great local suppliers are at the heart of exceptional products, which is why we’re excited to be partnering with Bwyd a Diod Cymru | Food and Drink Wales to launch a brand-new Supplier Development Programme. Over the coming months, more than 30 Welsh food and drink businesses will join us for tailored training, site visits and practical sessions covering everything from marketing and product development to logistics, compliance and account management. With support from colleagues and key stakeholders across Asda, we’ll be sharing insights and hands-on advice to help suppliers grow, develop new opportunities and bring even more fantastic Welsh products to our customers 🤝 We can’t wait to get started and work together to help Welsh businesses unlock their full potential 💚

We’re proud to be supporting the NHS MenB catch-up vaccination programme, helping eligible Year 13 students and young people preparing for university access NHS-funded vaccinations at Asda Pharmacy locations across England 💚 We’re also making protection more accessible for those not eligible for the NHS programme. Between 20 July and 31 August, customers who purchase a private Meningitis B vaccination at an Asda Pharmacy will receive £5 in their Asda Rewards Cashpot. We were delighted to be back at the Great Yorkshire Show this week, celebrating the very best of Yorkshire’s food, farming and community spirit. As a proud Yorkshire business, we've supported the show for more than 15 years, and this year marked our first time as the headline sponsor of the school veg box competition, helping pupils to appreciate food, farming and healthy diets. There was plenty happening on our stand, from product sampling to live chef and master butcher demonstrations in our Food Theatre, alongside opportunities to learn more about the work we do with local communities across the region. The Great Yorkshire Show is a brilliant way for us to meet with local suppliers, farmers and customers, while showcasing the quality products, great value and strong local partnerships that are at the heart of our business. More than 2,000 Home Office colleagues came together at Asda House yesterday for our Big Brunch event 💚 Allan and the Executive Team shared an update on our Formula for Growth progress, celebrated the achievements of teams across the business, and outlined what's next as we continue to deliver against our ambitions for the year ahead.
