We make healthy drinks and give 10% of profits to charity. Fancy a job?

About us

innocent started with a simple mission: to make drinks that make it easy to do yourself some good. In 1999 we concocted a few smoothies in our kitchen and tested them on people at a music festival; today we’re blending every type of fruit & veg under the sun and selling drinks right across Europe in over 30 different countries. Our range has got bigger along with us, and we now sell juice, kids drinks, coconut water and bubbles (a healthy drink in a can) with loads more innovation to come. We have great ambitions: to show the world that you can build a successful business that cares about more than just profit, and to leave things better than we find them. We’re proud to call ourselves Europe’s favourite little healthy drinks company, but we’re still growing. And that means we need more brilliant people who share our ambition, to join in with the next, most exciting, part of our story.

In June, we said a fond farewell to Sarah-Jane Norman, who is stepping down after 10 years as the innocent employee representative on the innocent foundation Board of Trustees.   Over the last decade, SJ has been a passionate advocate for the foundation, bringing valuable perspective from the innocent team and helping steer our work to reach the world's hungry.   Thank you, SJ, for your dedication and contribution over the years.   We have extended the deadline to apply to join the innocent foundation board. Do you want to use your expertise to help babies and young kids thrive? We'd love to hear from you. https://lnkd.in/etH6viVZ #foundation #malnutrition #trusteerecruitment

Just landed from India, and on the train home the lady sitting in front of me was drinking a innocent drinks mango & passion fruit smoothie. I couldn’t help smiling at the coincidence. I told her I had just come back from visiting the farmers who grow the mango in her drink — spending time with them, supporting their move toward more sustainable and regenerative practices, and making sure human rights are respected every step of the way. She was genuinely surprised by how close we are to our farmers and how much care goes into every detail. I showed her a few photos from the trip, and she smiled and said, “cool.” I guess I can officially call this an “end‑to‑end” journey now. 😄

Why wear one hat when you can wear two?   I spent a few days last week at this year’s Spain Ethical Trade Forums event in Granada, where I had the privilege of attending in two capacities, first as a member of the Board, and second as a panellist.   During the panel, we discussed the importance of effective grievance mechanisms and how we can build workplace cultures where people genuinely feel their voices are heard. A strong theme throughout the event was communication, both internally within organisations and externally across stakeholders. Open, transparent dialogue remains at the heart of meaningful progress in the sector, and it was encouraging to see this reflected in so many conversations.   A big thank you to Sergio Barbera and the team for bringing everything together, to my fellow panellists for a great discussion, and to everyone who shared their experiences and insights.   And to those who were there, I hope you weren’t too offended by my short-lived Spanish speaking moment.

  • The innocent foundation are looking for three new trustees   The innocent foundation are heading into a huge new chapter, scaling up their mission to help prevent child malnutrition by getting life‑saving SQ‑LNS to the little ones who need it most.   They’ve already helped over 2 million people since 2004, and now they’re laser‑focused on one big goal: making sure no child goes hungry. It was Mental Health Week earlier this month, and thanks to our Culture Team and very own Mental Health First Aiders, we kept it simple with a picnic in the park. Giving us all a chance to go and touch some grass.  Every so often, we put mental health in the spotlight at innocent to remind ourselves that not every day feels peachy. And just like we look after our bodies, we think our minds deserve the same care and attention. We offer our people 12 free virtual therapy sessions each year. But we also know it’s often the small, everyday moments that make the biggest difference. That’s why we run two mental health training programmes. One for managers and one for everyone, so that we’re all better equipped to have the right conversations and look out for each other.  So, while we wait for the sunshine to properly stick around, consider this your gentle nudge. Pop to the park, kick off your shoes, and give that grass a go. Fancy joining our lot next time for a picnic and a game of rounders? Have a look at our careers page to see if there’s anything that looks like a match for you. - https://lnkd.in/edRSqDFW

  • Pollinators make our drinks possible. Literally. And with today marking World Bee Day, it would be a bit of a miss not to talk about bees. Around three quarters of the world’s crop species rely on pollinators. Yet in Europe alone, their populations have fallen by 40% over the last 25 years, a serious risk for nature, farmers and our long‑term food security.   At innocent, 86% of our ingredients depend on pollinators. That’s why we launched the Beacon Project, a three‑year initiative in Spain, working with our apple farmers and leading experts to explore how wildflower planting and pesticide‑reduction interventions can promote wild pollinators, support biodiversity, reduce environmental impact and strengthen farm resilience.   Now in year two, we’re seeing encouraging signs: - Pollinators up 67%, with over 19,000 recorded across 32 species. - Improved pollination could increase fruit set by around 7–8%. - Wild pollinators played a key role in improving fruit quality, including size and sweetness. - Flower strips and natural vegetation proved effective, even in drought‑prone conditions. - More flowers mean more pollinators, and more pollinators mean healthier ecosystems and better harvests. There’s still more to learn, but the Beacon Project is helping to show that farming with nature can deliver real results. Huge thanks to the University of Reading, ZERYA Certified Pesticide Free Produce, 3Keel, CREAF, IVIA, IRTA, and the farmers bringing this work to life.

This week I’ve been talking a lot about juices and smoothies — and not just because our new creamy smoothies are launching (I'll save that for my next post). I joined a panel at the FoodBev UK Soft Drinks Conference and what really stood out was the mix in the room — retailers, brands and industry experts. A good reminder that none of us can do this in isolation. Our category is one with real energy and headroom for growth — if we keep innovating and have the space to do it. A few themes that we discussed: 🍎 People don’t shop by segment — they shop by occasion and need state. We need to think the same way in both innovation and how we show up on shelf. 🍊 Explaining the functional and health benefits of what we do is tough when attention spans at fixture are measured in seconds — making retailer partnerships more important than ever. 🍌 The way we connect with people is shifting fast — less big campaigns, more digital and social. Faster, more direct, always evolving. 🍐 Sustainability is bigger than packaging — it’s about supporting farmers and building more resilient supply chains (our Farmer Innovation Fund is a big part of that). The big message I wanted to land: this is a category full of potential — and we need legislation that supports that ambition. Get that balance right, and it’s better for businesses, retailers and, most importantly, the people choosing our products. A big thank you to the team for having me and to my fellow panelists and other speakers. Inspiring all round.

Earlier this month, our Lewis, Maria and Fernando visited one of our farmers in Nicaragua, to see how they’re growing tropical fruit in a way that’s good for people, soils and the planet. It turned out to be a bit of a masterclass in what regenerative farming looks like when it’s not in a report, but right there under your feet. They walked through fields where cover crops were protecting the soil, living trees were being used as natural tutors, and terracing helped farms cling to steep slopes. There was ground cover keeping precious moisture in the earth, tiny micro‑ponds catching every drop of water, and native trees left standing exactly where they belong. Even the ash from the farm was being turned into fertiliser. Pineapples were growing between other crops. Everything working together, like a little ecosystem with its own rhythm. One farmer put it better than we ever could: “Thank the Lord we have this piece of land that God gave us as a gift… I’ve diversified so that if one thing fails, I still have another.” Spending time out in the places where we source our fruit is a reminder that when you look after the land, it looks after you. Healthier soils, more biodiversity and more resilient farms mean better fruit and a stronger future for everyone involved. Lucky for us, the tasty fruit grown on this farm ends up squished, crushed and in our little bottles.

The Oscars are nice and all.  But let’s be honest, they’ve never given fruit and veg the credit they deserve.  So a long time ago we made our own awards. The kind of trophy that Tom Hanks would probably swap his Oscar for. The Golden Bottles. Every year, our lot send in nominations for the people who’ve smashed it. A lifetime legend, a top-notch leader, or someone who just lives our values like they invented them. Ask anyone here, it’s the highlight of the year. At innocent, we might be all about getting things done, but we wouldn’t be who we are without recognising the people who do it with heart, ideas, and a smile. Fancy seeing your name on the winners’ list?    Head to our career website, look at the roles to offer, and apply if it seems right for you https://lnkd.in/eR9bpyd3
