Since 1991, when we were a wholesaler with a team of just 15, we’ve been focused on getting better every day. By putting pets before profit, working as a team and taking pride in everything we do, we’ve grown into a 451 store network with more than 8,913 colleagues working in our Stores, Grooming Salons, Distribution Centres and Support Office. We are the UK’s leading pet specialist, providing pet owners with all their product needs, as well as our Vets for Pets practices and Grooming salons. We support our colleagues to work with pride and passion, to bring honesty and integrity to work every day, and to do it all with a sense of fun and fearlessness. We never shy away from having the important conversations and doing what we say we’ll do. Our values and behaviours are practiced daily across the business and are what really makes us an enjoyable, exciting place to work. We're always striving to develop and reward our colleagues with an extensive in-house series of training programmes, wellbeing initiatives and a comprehensive benefits package. In 2018 we were delighted to be voted top 5 in the Great Place to Work UK’s Large category. With over 450 practices all over the UK our Practice Owners see everything from accidently swallowed sewing equipment to a puffin, over 100 miles away from the nearest coast. So, we'd like to introduce the Patient of the Week series! Each week we will spotlight a fluffy, furry or scaley patient that has found it's way into one of our practices for one reason or another. So, say hello to our first Patient of the Week, Tigga. A one year old domestic shorthair from Barnsley who recently had quite the mystery solved. After developing a recurring swelling on his front leg, Tigga was referred to the team at Barnsley Hospital Vets for Pets for further investigation. When a CT scan revealed an area of concern, the team performed surgery and discovered something no one was expecting, a tiny fragment of tooth embedded deep within his leg! The tooth is believed to have been left behind following a cat fight months earlier, with the wound healing over before causing problems again. Thankfully, the team were able to remove the fragment and get to the root of the issue. Now back home with owner Charlie, Tigga is recovering brilliantly, feeling much more comfortable and enjoying life as normal once again. A huge well done to the Barnsley Vets for Pets team for helping solve Tigga's case. #VetsforPets

Some dogs walk into a room. Shadow arrives. Meet Shadow, this Weeks Pet of the Week. At just four months old, this black Staffordshire Bull Terrier has already become a firm favourite around Support Office, and it's not hard to see why. He is friendly, confident, full of character and approaches every day with the mindset that everyone in the room is already his best friend. From the moment his human Neo Okeke first saw him, Shadow stood out from the crowd. Despite being a smaller pup compared to his littermates, he had the biggest character. And though he started off small, his size has now started to match his personality... Despite being four months old and only around half his eventual size, Shadow is currently sitting at 12kg of pure Staffie muscle. If that's true, don't be surprised if you see the Ecommerce team walking around in Kevlar as a cannonball of happiness charges after them. Thankfully, Shadow has no interest in causing too much trouble. He's far too busy making friends and ensuring nobody goes more than five minutes without paying him some attention. So for his sake, please join us in showing Shadow some more love. 💚 #PetsatHome

Last week, we brought together Store Managers, Retail colleagues and Support Office teams from across the business for our Pets at Home Retail Conference 2026. At the heart of the day was a simple focus: creating customer magic. From inspiring stories and examples of brilliant pet care, to the opportunities ahead for our business, we explored how every colleague plays a role in making life better for pets and the people who love them. It was also a chance to reflect on the progress we've made after two challenging years, hear from leaders across the business, celebrate success, and recognise the outstanding teams and individuals who go above and beyond every day. A huge congratulations to our incredible award winners and nominees, whose passion, commitment and dedication continue to set the standard across our retail network. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the day such a success. Take a look at some of the highlights below👇

From negotiating with a fussy eater to celebrating the elusive "perfect poo", pet owners know that feeding our pets isn't always as straightforward as filling up a bowl. Our latest TV ad is inspired by these everyday moments after we recently uncovered that 2 in 3 pet owners don't feel completely confident they're feeding their pet the best possible nutrition*. Behind every feeding question, diet switch and treat dilemma are our knowledgeable store colleagues, ready to help pet owners make more informed choices every day. Keep an eye out for the campaign over the coming weeks across TV, cinema, digital, social and in stores. We’re all for pets. 💚 To watch, visit: https://lnkd.in/evXF89Q5 *To verify, visit the truth behind the ad: https://lnkd.in/eZhfdknf #PetsatHome

From dogs in the office and pup-cakes to car checks and cycle support, our partnership with Halfords has been a wheelie good example of retailers supporting each other 🐾🚗🚲 This week, we were delighted to welcome our friends from Halfords to our Support Office in Handforth as part of The Fast and the Furriest partnership. Halfords brought its expert teams along to offer colleagues vehicle and bike health checks, travel safety advice, Cycle2Work guidance, exclusive discounts, quizzes and even some fantastic goodies, all while helping raise funds for the Pets Foundation. The visit followed our support of Halfords' first-ever Bring Your Dog to Work Day earlier this summer, where colleagues enjoyed wellbeing activities, pet expert advice, fundraising and plenty of four-legged fun. It was brilliant to see colleagues making the most of the day, whether getting their bike checked, picking up motoring tips or learning more about Halfords' specialist services. More than that, the partnership has shown the value of retailers supporting one another, sharing expertise and creating meaningful experiences for colleagues that go beyond day-to-day business. A huge thank you to everyone at Halfords who made the day possible, and to all our colleagues who got involved and helped support the Pets Foundation. #PetsatHome #PetsFoundation #Halfords

This week we feature the lovely Gus, a four-month-old Labrador owned by Trudi Taylor, Foundation Support Coordinator. Gus, affectionately known as 'Landshark', is well and truly in his nibbly puppy phase. His passion for chewing through toys, treats and chair legs is one to be admired. We can only hope he redirects this level of motivation into a more productive venture in his older years. Until then, we wish Trudi the very best of luck and pray for her furniture. 🦈 The toy safest from the Landshark's wrath is Gus' favourite giant duck. Every pup needs a fluffy best friend for moral support during these puppy years and he’s always useful for the occasional nervous chew on, what else are best friends for? 🦆 Despite his mischievous tendencies, Gus is already on his best behaviour. He knows his name, sit, down and paw. We can only presume world domination is next on the list. Happy Pet of the Week to Gus and we wish you all the best chew toys through these tough teething times!

Our Support Office dogs are gearing up for today’s match! Now these patriotic pups know a thing or two about balls. Tennis balls, footballs, you name it! If the team is in need of some extra players we have some pawfessionals on speed dial. ⚽ The four legged fan base have pulled out their most patriotic accessories and have been diligently practicing their football chants/howls all Friday in the back of meetings. Football is well and truly coming home! (Unless a Spaniel spots it first) 🏆 Drop your patriotic pets in the comments below! #PetsatHome
