If you are in the area and work in obesity care, primary care, or wider metabolic health, this is worth attending. “Meet Me in the Middle Maze: An Obesity Experience” offers a practical opportunity for Healthcare Professionals to better understand the lived experience of people living with obesity. In reality, improving outcomes is not only about treatment choice. What matters most is how we listen, how we communicate, and how we reduce stigma in day-to-day care. Experiences like this can help us reflect on the barriers our patients face and improve the way we support long-term, realistic, and compassionate obesity care. https://lnkd.in/egSvvGrP

It is very hot at the moment😰, so a quick check-in if you are on a weight loss journey: please keep drinking water 💧 throughout the day. Electrolytes can help, but caffeinated tea and coffee ☕do not really count for hydration. Keep exercise realistic in this heat 🌞, aim for earlier or later in the day, and be kind to yourself 🙏. How are you adjusting your routine this week? #WeightLossSupport #HydrationMatters #HealthyHabits #HotWeather #PrivateDoc

A bit about what we do at privatedoc 😊
PrivateDoc is often associated with weight loss. In reality, that is only part of the picture. We also support patients with menopause and perimenopause, skin conditions, and men’s health concerns, areas where access can be difficult and continuity is often limited. What matters most is not simply access to treatment, but access to the right clinical support, with proper individualised care and the option to speak to someone who understands your history over time. As this sector evolves, the key point is to choose providers carefully. Clinical standards matter. So does tone, judgement, and the quality of care behind the service. If you have questions about the industry more broadly, feel free to comment below. I will be sharing more here on LinkedIn😀.#DigitalHealth #ContinuityOfCare #MenopauseCare #MensHealth #WeightLossSupport #TakeControlOfYourHealth #AtHomeBloodTest #WeightManagement #womenshealth

We’re presenting new data at the European Congress on Obesity which shows that nearly one in three people on oral semaglutide 25mg responded early to treatment, achieving 21.6% weight loss by the end of the trial. Nearly eight in 10 people with poor physical function reported improved physical function compared to placebo. Learn more in the press release here https://lnkd.in/eZvfQWvy #PRESS

Every person is different. So why should medication be one-size-fits-all? Our scientists did what some thought impossible - they put a peptide in a pill, creating the world's first FDA-approved GLP-1 pill for weight management. We’re building on 30 years of obesity research and over 100 years of medical breakthroughs. Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/etzdZWSV

ECO 2026, Day 2 highlights One of the clearest themes emerging from Day 2 is that obesity treatment is no longer being defined solely by how much weight can be lost, but by how it can be maintained safely over time. Newly published data from SURMOUNT MAINTAIN and ATTAIN MAINTAIN underline a critical point, continuing therapy, whether through dose adjustment or transition to alternative formulations, plays a central role in sustaining weight and cardiometabolic benefits. Alongside this, there is growing interest in complementary biology. Amylin based therapies are attracting attention for their distinct effects on satiety and meal termination, rather than appetite suppression alone. Early published data on combinations such as CagriSema suggest that targeting multiple pathways may help address variability in response and support more durable outcomes. Together, these findings reinforce that obesity behaves like other chronic conditions. Interruption of treatment allows biology to push weight back up, while structured maintenance strategies help preserve progress. The focus is clearly shifting from short term results to long term disease management. For clinicians and patients alike, this represents a more mature and realistic direction for obesity care. #ECO2026 #ObesityMedicine #WeightMaintenance #ChronicDiseaseCare #EvidenceBasedMedicine #Amylin PrivateDoc European Association for the Study of Obesity (EASO)

Enjoying my time in Instanbul, I would prefer being here when liverpool won the champions league 🤣. buts its a lovely city. Apologies for Auto captions not that accurate 😅 Day 1 One thing is very clear from ECO 2026. We need to move beyond the idea that obesity is simply about willpower. As highlighted in today’s sessions, obesity has a strong biological and genetic basis. That is why the language matters. Not “obese patients” But patients living with obesity “This is a complex, chronic condition, not a personal failure.” At the same time, the science is moving fast. We are seeing: • Better understanding of genetic drivers of weight regulation • Growing evidence on the role of exercise beyond weight loss alone • An expanding pipeline of medications that will give clinicians more ways to help And yes, we are also seeing remarkable outcomes in some patients on current treatments. But the real shift is bigger than any single drug or headline number. It is a move towards personalised, biology led care. PrivateDoc European Association for the Study of Obesity (EASO)
