We signed the open letter to improve health of people with a learning disability. RWP’s Housing Operations Director said: “We are proud to add our name to the open letter calling on the Prime Minister to make improving the health of people with learning disabilities a national priority. “Too many people continue to experience avoidable health inequalities and barriers to accessing the care that they need. We all have a responsibility to help create an inclusive health system. “The letter was delivered to 10 Downing Street by Learning Disability England representatives. We are delighted to learn that at the time it was delivered, it had been signed by more than 1,200 people and organisations.” Here is the open letter: https://lnkd.in/efQ8J8H5 #supportedliving #accessiblehealthcare

You said, We did – our tenant newsletter We continually seek to ensure that the information in our tenant newsletter is easy to read, easy to understand, and genuinely useful for everyone. We encourage tenant feedback and carry out review session at our tenant forums and groups, including our Tenant Chat Group in Leeds. After reviewing the font style, we assessed that there was room for improvement in terms of accessibility. The new font style was selected because of its letterforms and spacing which is clear, straightforward, and consistent. It fits well into designs for print and screens which important for our tenant newsletter as we provide print and a variety of accessible versions. Rent Smart Wales Landlord Licence Training - successfully completed! RWP has supported living homes in Wales and therefore it is essential for our housing team to ensure they are keeping up to date with landlord responsibilities and Welsh Government requirements. RWP housing team members successfully completed the Rent Smart Wales Landlord Licence Training to do just that. The training covers: • Compliance with Welsh Government licensing requirements • Knowledge of landlord and agent responsibilities, including safety, repairs, deposits, and eviction procedures RWP's Housing Manager Kulwant Paddan said: “It was a good online session and highlighted the differences between English and Welsh Housing.” Supported living community safety officer John said: “It was interesting to see the differences between the legal processes adopted in Wales to those we use in England.” #supportedliving #rentsmartwales

Our tenants who attend the Leeds tenant chat group have been busy in the garden. They are taking part in our annual sunflower competition in partnership with Progress Housing Group, which RWP is part of. Our tenants who attend the Leeds tenant chat group worked together with support from Customer Voice officer Natalie to plant sunflower seeds at a recent meeting. Our tenant Carl enjoyed helping to work as part of the team and carefully following each step to plant the sunflower seeds and he is looking forward to watching them grow. Strong partnerships are at the heart of delivering high-quality supported housing 🏠 We're proud to be working alongside Assisted Living Project and TAO Complex Care to provide specialist homes that help people live as independently as possible. This partnership is about much more than properties - it's about creating long-term homes, working collaboratively and ensuring people receive the right support in the right enivronment. We're looking forward to continuing to grow this partnership and supporting more people together.
The scale of this challenge means no one can deliver it alone. Les Warren, Assisted Living Operator with RWP (Reside With Progress), is clear about what strong partnerships in the supported housing sector actually look like. It is not a transactional mindset. It is a long-term commitment to people, to standards that go beyond the minimum, and to the kind of flexibility that only comes when both sides are truly invested. Because these are not just properties. They are lifetime homes. At Assisted Living Project, that is exactly the kind of partnership we are built for. Shared purpose, shared standards, and a genuine commitment to getting it right for the people who need it most. #SupportedLiving #SocialCare #SpecialistHousing #AssistedLiving #assistedlivingproject

Our tenant Robbie is a talented gardener Our tenant Robbie lives in one of our supported living homes in Tyne and Wear, Newcastle. He has a big passion for gardening and has turned his hand to a garden makeover at his home. Robbie worked hard to give the front garden a makeover, carefully selecting a variety of vibrant plants and flowers, and with support planting them in the front garden for his housemates and support staff from Future Directions CIC to enjoy. RWP housing officer Laura is extremely proud of Robbie’s garden transformation. Paula said: “He has put a tremendous amount of effort and hard work into the garden. “The supported living scheme are working on a project to build raised beds at the rear of the property, so Robbie can easily tend to vegetables and plants, as he uses a wheelchair.” #supportedliving

We love hearing from our tenants and partners when someone’s made a real difference ✨ RWP housing officer Sarah has been supporting Jaydan, Service Lead at Salford Cares, part of Bolton Cares Group, to settle into his new role at one of our supported living homes in Lancashire. Jaydan was full of praise for Sarah’s support and shared that her experience has been incredibly helpful. Jaydan said: “I was singing Sarah’s praises, and these were reciprocated by my colleagues, who had nothing but positive things to say. “Sarah has a wealth of experience, and I have really appreciated all her support since I started. Both understanding how these tenancies work but also in matching my vision for all the property developments I have in mind.” Thank you for representing RWP so well - taking care, professionalism and pride in the job, every day. #supportedliving #workinginpartnership

Annual review visits provide great opportunities for our housing officers to get to know our tenants. Asking about interests and hobbies is an important part of building a solid foundation and connection, and in turn tailoring support. RWP housing officer Paula was delighted to learn about Alex’s passion for music at a recent annual review visit. Our tenant Alex has lived in one of our supported living homes in Colne for three years. They have a huge passion for music and have turned their room into a vibrant, creative space to enjoy and play music. Alex writes their own music and has been playing the keyboard since they were 7. Also, Alex plays the electric guitar and drums. Alex enjoys attending music groups in their local community including a jam night in Burnley every week on a Thursday. Paula said: “At the annual review I noticed the instruments in Alex’s flat. “I don’t get to see Alex that often, so it was lovely to have a chat and listen to the music they were playing. I think they felt proud and was happy that I had asked about her interests.” Click here to read Alex's music story: https://lnkd.in/dkAXTwvj #supportedliving

A fantastic milestone for our new supported living home in Knowsley. The first tenant has moved into their new home and was welcome by RWP housing manager Kulwant Paddan, Knowsley Council and Cavalry Healthcare We hope our tenant settles in well to their new home with quality support from the Cavalry Healthcare team and RWP housing officer Paula.
Attended the first move in at our new Specialised Supported Housing scheme on behalf of our Housing Officer, Paula. It was a pleasure to join colleagues from Progress Housing Group (who attended to make sure the gas was uncapped and carry out checks), Knowsley Council and Cavalry Healthcare in welcoming our very first resident to their new home. This highlights the importance of partnership working and the positive difference we can make together. Wishing our new resident every happiness as they begin this exciting new chapter. Thank you to everyone involved in making today such a positive milestone. Here’s to many more successful move ins. #RWP #KnowsleyCouncil #CavalryHealthcare #SupportedHousing #Housing #PartnershipWorking #NewBeginnings Antonia Elverson Rory McDonnell RWP (Reside With Progress)
