  • A huge thank you to Vicky. 👏👏 The charity team looks forward to cheering you along at the games in Sheffield next week.

Three years ago, I was given the incredible gift of a heart transplant. I will be forever grateful to my donor and their family, and to the amazing team at the Royal Papworth Hospital who cared for me and helped give me a second chance at life. This year, I'm proud to be competing in the 2026 British Transplant Games a celebration of organ donation, the incredible gift of transplantation, and everything it makes possible. I'm raising money for Royal Papworth Hospital Charity, which supports patients and families, as well as funding life-changing research and improving care for those who need it. If you're able to support my fundraising, I'd be incredibly grateful. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help make a difference. Thank you to everyone who takes the time to read, donate or share my page. Your support means a great deal. ❤️ Support my fundraising here

  • Collaboration and compassion from Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Critical Care team 👏 🫶 When Czar, Ward Sister, was sadly unable to complete her planned 192-mile Coast to Coast fundraising walk after becoming unwell, her colleagues didn't let her challenge end there. 🚶⛱️ More than 40 members of the team are now contributing miles in their own way to support our charity and show they're with her every step of the way. Katie, Deputy Sister, said: "Czar is one of the kindest, most caring people you could ever hope to work with. She was so disappointed that she couldn't complete her challenge. "As a team, we wanted to do something to lift her spirits during such a difficult time, so taking on the steps in her place just felt like the right thing to do. It was our way of showing her that we're thinking of her every step of the way. "Everyone has been amazing and has really embraced the challenge, working hard to get their steps in by the end of July. It shows just how much Czar means to all of us. "We miss her every day. She's so much more than a colleague – she's a wonderful friend and an important part of our team, and we love her dearly. We can't wait to have her back with us." If you're able to support Czar and the team, we know they would be hugely grateful for a donation to Czar's JustGiving page: https://lnkd.in/e8VHXZCW 📷 Czar, Ward Sister, who was due to take on the 192-mile Coast to Coast walk. 📷 Daniel, Jonee, Tess, Katie, Cynthia and Victor 📷Amuda, Vikki, Bonita and Sunanda, clocking up the walking miles at Grafham Water 📷Lorena walking the dogs and increasing her step count 📷 Mariana stepping out at the gym 📷 Zofia's get-well message to Czar #thankyou #compassion #collaboration #royalpapworth

  • A small thank you for the Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust administrative staff who make a big difference. 🌭 Thanks to the generosity of our charity supporters, we were delighted to provide staff at the hospital's Kingfisher House site with a complimentary lunch as a token of our appreciation. This follows the annual staff BBQ at the hospital, which was also made possible through charitable funding. These moments are a small way of recognising the incredible dedication, compassion and hard work of our colleagues who support Royal Papworth patients and their families every day. To everyone who supports our charity, thank you. Your generosity helps us create opportunities to show our appreciation for the people at the heart of our hospital. 🙏 #NHSstaff #thankyou Krystyna Grant, MBA Marcus Riddell FCIPD

  • Food, sunshine and connection 🍔🌞 A huge thank you to all the staff who joined our charity and Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust (ACT) on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus green and gardens for the annual staff BBQ. It was wonderful to see so many of you come together for food, live entertainment and chat. For those staff wearing scrubs, it was great to see you enjoying your free food in the Royal Papworth restaurant. Staff working at the hospital's admin site, Kingfisher House, will be treated to free hot food next week. 🌭 It’s with thanks to our charity supporters, that we are able to fund staff wellbeing events like the staff BBQ. This is our way and our supporters way of saying thank you for the care and support you provide to Royal Papworth Hospital patients and their families every day. 🫶 It was also a great opportunity to gather staff's views on our Brighter Spaces, Brighter Futures project - uplift of patient and family day rooms, staff rest areas and outdoor spaces at Royal Papworth. #nhsstaff #thankyouforyoursupport #staffwellbeing Marcus Riddell FCIPD Dr. Matthew Hodson MBE DProf RN Krystyna Grant, MBA
