Congratulations to Northern Bear Plc for another successful day on the golf course in support of St Oswald's Hospice. ⛳💙 Last month, 21 teams from businesses across the region played at Ramside Hall Hotel, Golf & Spa, enjoying excellent hospitality and some friendly competition as they came together to help raise much needed funds in support of local hospice care. John Davies, CEO at Northern Bear PLC, said: "The day is a firm favourite and we look forward to it every single year. The enthusiasm of the players and the support from the individuals and companies represented is much appreciated. I am proud to announce that we raised £15,000 for St Oswald's, a cause which are delighted to support through fundraising and as members of their Better Together Business Club." The weather was pawfect for our first ever Business Netwalk this morning. Starting at the space, our retail venue in the heart of Ouseburn, businesses from across the region arrived ready to hop on the Peter Rabbit: Tales on the Tyne art trail. With apps, maps and sticker books at the ready, Bethany George - Fundraising Co-ordinator, St Oswald’s Hospice, led the group on a walk taking in some of the fantastic sculptures along the Newcastle quayside. We finished at INNSiDE by Mèlia where guests were able to hop indoors for refreshements and more networking. Miller Homes Ltd North East have been getting into the swing of things this summer with their Charity of the Year fundraising, in support of St Oswald's Hospice. 💙 In June, Ryan Lincoln, Regional Managing Director, took part in the Lake District Ultra, a relentless 50km route of varying terrains. He raised a whopping £5000. Later in the month, a team of 14 took on Total Warrior, featuring a 12km course filled with physically demanding obstacles. To round things off, the company held their inaugural golf day at Slaley Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort, Hexham, bringing together 18 teams from businesses across the region. Emily Scott, Land Manager, Miller Homes, said, "I'm so proud of our colleagues who have fully embraced our Charity of the Year partnership, giving their all and coming together to raise vital funds for St Oswald's Hospice."
