In the deep dark wood, something wild is stirring... 🌲 The Gruffalo™ Art Adventure is a new Wild in Art sculpture trail created in partnership with Magic Light Pictures. It will feature twelve magnificent Gruffalo sculptures, each one uniquely decorated by artists through colours, patterns and landscapes of the natural world. St Clare Hospice's first-ever Wild in Art trail is now open 🦁 A pride of 63 magnificent lion sculptures has taken over Harlow, Epping and Loughton, transforming the area into a colourful outdoor gallery for everyone to enjoy. Each lion has been uniquely designed by talented artists, schools and community groups, celebrating the region's people, places and culture. Trail-goers can pick up a trail map and browse exclusive merchandise at any St Clare Hospice shop, or download the official Lions on the Loose app to collect each sculpture's unique four-digit code, unlock rewards and be in with the chance of winning prizes from local sponsors. Earlier this week we hopped over to Newcastle with our 2027/28 event partners to walk the Peter Rabbit: Tales on the Tyne art trail and spend a day workshopping ideas and sharing experiences. These visits are invaluable for both us and our partners. Every year of trails teaches us something new, brings fresh ideas and opportunities to create even better events for our charity and placemaking partners. Thank you to St Oswald's Hospice for such a warm welcome, for showing us around the trail and for generously sharing insights you've gained from delivering four incredible trails. Swish, splash, squelch... 🐻 We're Going on a Bear Hunt has arrived in Dartford for the summer. The Dartford Bear Hunt sculpture trail is presented by ellenor, the local hospice charity providing vital support to patients and their families in North Kent and Bexley. Dartford Town Centre and Bluewater Shopping Centre are now host to 31 Bear sculptures, each one designed and decorated by a different artist. Accompanying them are over 50 smaller Bear Cubs sculptures which have been decorated by local schools and community groups. It's the latest collaboration between Wild in Art and Walker Books, bringing the beloved story of We're Going on a Bear Hunt to life through creativity, community and adventure. Inspired by the award-winning animation based on Michael Rosen's classic picture book, illustrated by Helen Oxenbury, each sculpture offers something unique to discover. Trail-goers can start their adventure at one of the Trail Hubs, where printed maps and exclusive Bear Hunt merchandise can be picked up. The official Dartford Bear Hunt app is also available to track progress and unlock offers and discounts from local businesses. It's a fantastic opportunity to spend time outdoors this summer with family and friends, all while supporting the local hospice charity. Ten years after our first art trail with St Oswald's Hospice, we're delighted to return for a fourth collaboration. Peter Rabbit: Tales on the Tyne has now launched across Newcastle and North Tyneside 🐰 This one is extra special because we're celebrating the hospice's 40th anniversary alongside the 160th anniversary of Beatrix Potter's birth, all while raising vital funds for local children and adults who rely on hospice care. Tales on the Tyne is the first Peter Rabbit™ sculpture trail and we're thrilled to have collaborated on it with our longstanding partner, Penguin Ventures of Penguin Random House UK. 96 sculptures await discovery across the region's streets, parks and open spaces. More than 40 large sculptures have been designed and decorated by artists and over 50 smaller ones created by local schools and community groups. Trail-goers can visit a dedicated trail HQ and merchandise hub, staffed by a friendly team ready to help with any questions, and finish their journey with a well-earned certificate. For those wanting to make the most of their adventure, the Wild in Art app offers progress tracking, unlockable offers and discounts, photo uploads and the chance to vote for favourite sculptures. We're delighted to have played a part in delivering one of the flagship events for the Portsmouth100 centenary celebrations, in collaboration with Portsmouth City Council. Pride of Portsmouth is now officially open, inviting residents and visitors to discover 45 beautifully designed lion sculptures - and keep an eye out for one roaming unicorn! Inspired by the city's crest, each sculpture has been uniquely created by a talented artist, celebrating Portsmouth's people, places and character. The trail offers a fantastic opportunity to explore Portsmouth, spend time outdoors and experience the city from a fresh perspective. Trail-goers can use the free Pride of Portsmouth app to track down every lion, plus follow the roaming unicorn as it moves from place to place. We're proud to have supported this landmark project and can't wait to see everyone enjoying the trail across the city.

Thames Hospice's very first Wild in Art trail, Trunks across the Thames, has paraded into Slough, Eton and Windsor 🐘 30 colourful elephant sculptures, each brought to life by a different artist, now stand proudly for locals and visitors to enjoy over summer until 13 September. Alongside them are 61 mini elephants, creatively painted by local schools and community groups as part of the trail's Learning Programme. Using the Wild in Art trail app, families and friends can wander the trail together, discovering the story behind every elephant, voting for favourites, snapping photos and picking up offers and discounts from the businesses who've sponsored the trail. It's a free summer activity with a meaningful purpose behind it: once the trail ends, the beautiful large sculptures will be auctioned off, with proceeds supporting Thames Hospice's specialist care for people with life-limiting conditions, and their families, at the moments they need it most. Our summer season shines on, with another fantastic new art trail lighting up the streets of Plymouth. Over 40 beautifully designed lighthouse sculptures have arrived in the city, forming a free outdoor trail for locals and visitors to explore in support of our partner charity, St Luke's Hospice Plymouth. Visitors can also discover the creativity of the city's young people, as more than 40 Little Lights go on display at The Box from 7 July. Plus, communities served by St Luke's Hospice nursing teams will get to experience the trail firsthand, thanks to a roaming show featuring 10 additional artist-designed sculptures. A dedicated Wild in Art app is available to download, offering trail-goers a fully interactive experience - from finding and collecting sculptures to uploading photos, tracking personal stats, and staying up to date with the latest news. App users can also enjoy over £150 worth of discounts and offers, kindly provided by the trail's sponsors and partners. A wide range of merchandise is also available for those wanting to take a piece of the trail home, including Sticker Books, pin badges, Lukey The Lighthouse story books, tea towels, lighthouse bracelets, Paint Your Own Lighthouse kits, postcards and canvas bags It's been a pleasure working with St Luke's Hospice on their second Wild in Art trail, and we're excited for it to be a highlight of the summer for everyone to enjoy. We're heading back to Australia! We're excited to partner with LifeFlight to bring A Beary Big Trail to Queensland's Darling Downs, marking 20 years of the organisation's life-saving healthcare. Starting in March next year, 20 large bear sculptures - plus as many as 50 smaller ones - will pop up across Toowoomba, transforming the city's streets, parks and spaces into a free sculpture trail. When the trail wraps up, each large sculpture will be auctioned, with proceeds supporting LifeFlight and its First Minutes Matter trauma training programme. Five years on from The Big Hare Trail, we were delighted to team up with Leuchie again for a brand new trail - this time featuring fifteen 8ft lighthouse sculptures lighting up North Berwick. Each lighthouse has been lovingly hand-painted by a different artist and paired with a local business. The trail is completely free to explore, and it marks a special milestone: 15 years of Leuchie as an independent charity. Once the trail ends on 21 August, the lighthouses will head to a grand auction, with all proceeds going towards supporting people living with neurological conditions and their families. 📷 : Liam Houghton
