From 109 miles to £100,000… what an incredible journey.
Just six days ago, I crossed the finish line after completing one of the toughest challenges I’ve ever taken on.
Over six days, alongside an incredible group of people, we pushed a hospital bed 109 miles across Lancashire, visiting six hospices and travelling through seven towns in support of Trinity Hospice, Blackpool .
It was physically demanding. The heat was relentless, our bodies were aching, and there were moments when every mile felt harder than the last. But every time we arrived at another hospice, met the incredible staff, volunteers and supporters, and were reminded why we were doing it, it gave us the motivation to keep going.
Being part of this challenge was about so much more than completing 109 miles.
It was about standing alongside a community that genuinely cares. It was about seeing businesses, families, volunteers and complete strangers come together behind one cause. It was about raising awareness for the incredible work Trinity Hospice and Brian House do every day, providing dignity, compassion and support to people and families during some of the most difficult times of their lives.
Knowing that only around 11% of their funding comes from Government sources really puts into perspective just how important community fundraising is.
Today, I’m incredibly proud to say that together we have reached our goal of £100,000.
That achievement belongs to everyone who donated, sponsored us, walked with us, volunteered, supported us from the roadside, shared our story or simply encouraged us along the way. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, helped make this possible.
A special thank you to Sean Lynden , whose passion and commitment brought this challenge to life. Sean has dedicated years to supporting Trinity Hospice and Brian House, and it was a privilege to be part of a challenge that means so much to him and so many others. Thank you also to every member of the Push Force team and the volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make the event happen.
I’m equally proud of the contribution from Partner Plus Media, where our team, clients and wider network helped raise £7,299.54. Seeing everyone get behind the challenge is something I’ll never forget.
Challenges like this remind you what’s possible when people come together with a shared purpose. We started with a goal of pushing a hospital bed 109 miles and raising £100,000. We finished having raised £100,000, but more importantly, we’ve helped ensure Trinity Hospice and Brian House can continue providing the care and support that so many local families rely on.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen. I’m incredibly proud to have played a small part in such an inspiring journey, and it’s an experience that will stay with me for a very long time.
