We're incredibly proud of everyone who laced up their walking boots, tackled the miles and crossed the finish line together. 💚 Before the event had even begun, the team had smashed its £7,000 fundraising target, raising over £9,302. Thanks to Tandem's matched funding and support from The Green Deal, that total will exceeded £12,000 – a fantastic achievement that will help Macmillan continue providing vital support to those who need it most. The Peak District Mighty Hike brought together more than 1,900 participants and has already raised over £689,000 for Macmillan. We're also incredibly proud that Team Tandem sits among the event's top fundraisers – a reflection of the generosity, determination and community spirit shown by everyone involved. Growing community, together 🌱 #TeamTandem recently spent a rewarding volunteering day with The Salvation Army in Blackpool, helping to maintain and improve their incredible community garden. We got stuck in clearing weeds and brambles, painting the decking, and harvesting a fantastic range of vegetables, including carrots, potatoes, peas and onions. We then replanted produce throughout the garden beds to help support future harvests. The garden is a vital resource for The Salvation Army's kitchen, providing fresh ingredients for meals served to families and people experiencing homelessness through The Bridge Project. Alongside the vegetables we harvested, the garden is also home to cabbages, rhubarb, red and white onions, tomatoes and cucumbers. It was inspiring to see firsthand how community spaces like this make a real difference, and we're proud to have played a small part in supporting such important work.
