It is always rewarding to look back on a project that was delivered successfully from start to finish. In May, the demolition of three high-rise apartment blocks at Hurcott Road, Kidderminster was completed for Community Housing. Thornton Firkin were delighted to provide Project Management services, while DSM delivered the demolition works to an exceptional standard. The project was characterised by excellent teamwork, proactive communication, and a collaborative approach from everyone involved. 🚧 PROJECT UPDATE | SARGENT ADVANCED MANUFACTURING CENTRE, BEVERLEY A little later than planned, but here's our latest drone footage from the Sargent Electrical Services Limited - Wired for... and their Advanced Manufacturing Centre in #Beverley, filmed in late May. It's great to see the project making excellent progress, with the ground improvement works now well advanced as we prepare for the next major milestone. Over the coming weeks, we'll be moving into the steel frame erection phase, bringing the building out of the ground and really transforming the site. We are proud to be delivering this landmark manufacturing facility for Ian Sargent and the team at Sargent Electrical Services Limited - Wired for..., creating a modern, sustainable home for their continued growth and investment in East Yorkshire. Fantastic to see the successful completion and handover of the Goldthorn Road scheme in Kidderminster for Community Housing. We were proud to have supported the project as Employer’s Agent, Principal Designer and Quantity Surveyor, working alongside Harpers as Main Contractor to deliver these new homes. Like many developments, the project was not without its challenges. However, what really stood out was the strength of the relationships across the team. Through a genuinely collaborative approach, open communication and a shared commitment to the end goal, we were able to overcome obstacles and keep things moving forward. The end result is a scheme that all parties involved can be proud of, which has delivering high quality homes for the residents and local community. This is the third live scheme on Hagley Road, Birmingham that our residential team are delivering alongside valued partners Citizen and WB Property Group
It’s great to see work getting underway at our Hagley Road development in Birmingham! We’re working in partnership with WB Property Group to deliver 52 new homes – and five of these will be social rent homes thanks to funding from the West Midlands Combined Authority The site has been disused for a number of years, so it’s exciting to see it being transformed into new homes for local people. We’re looking forward to seeing it take shape ahead of completion in Spring 2028.
