The 6th Advanced Computing Meeting already has a date set.

The national Advanced Computing community will meet again on the following days. November 3rd and 4th, 2026, at the University of Minho, in Braga, for the 6th edition of the Advanced Computing Meeting.

The initiative is organized by FCT, through its digital services unit FCCN, in partnership with University of Minho and the National Center for Advanced Computing (CNCA), counting on sponsorship by FSAS Technologies.

The pilot phase for access to the new European quantum computers is now open.

European researchers, including Portuguese researchers, can now apply for this pilot phase and use the EuroHPC quantum computers free of charge..

This initiative, launched by EuroHPC JUThis initiative emerges as a milestone for science and innovation in Europe, opening up the possibility for researchers, public entities, and companies to access the European quantum computing infrastructure, in a model similar to that already applied in European supercomputers.
