#WhatMovesMe is seeing geriatric patients that have started with minimal endurance, no strength, low self esteem, and observing end result of PT/OT disciplines building a person back up to PLF or better is so rewarding. My mother is also a PTA and seeing her build report/trust with patients was like watching wonderwoman in real life. She would take me into work with her as a child and that is what motivated me to follow same occupation. How my 6 year old son behaves around the older generation is a reflection of me and my mother. #WhatMovesMe is my motivation to not only come to work and fulfill my obligations; it is the inner drive to make the daily drive a purposeful journey. Financial compensation is one aspect of employment; I personally find my motivation to work daily comes from a personal growth and making a difference in someone else's life.
