  • We reported our results today for the first quarter of fiscal 2026, which ended June 20, 2026.     “In the first quarter, our digital and pharmacy businesses continued to deliver strong growth, while core grocery faced increasing pressure from softer industry unit trends and a more cautious consumer,” said Susan Morris, Chief Executive Officer. “While these results did not meet our expectations, they underscored the need to move faster.”    “Through ACI Edge, we are accelerating change to strengthen our competitiveness and improve execution across the business. ACI Edge includes simplifying our operating model, transitioning from eleven divisions to four regions and centralizing center-store merchandising to strengthen accountability, accelerate decision-making, and better leverage our scale, technology, and local market expertise.”    “These actions are designed to deliver sharper value, greater differentiation in fresh, and an elevated customer experience across our stores and markets. By scaling best practices and investing in our customer value proposition, we believe we can drive stronger, more consistent growth while creating long-term value for both customers and shareholders.”    "As we look ahead, we are moving decisively. Given continued softness in industry unit trends and a more cautious consumer, we are accelerating investments and operational changes designed to strengthen our customer value proposition and improve our competitive position. Accordingly, we are revising our fiscal 2026 outlook. We are choosing to accelerate investments in our customer value proposition and the customer experience ahead of expected productivity benefits because we believe these actions will improve our growth trajectory, strengthen our competitive position, and create long-term shareholder value.”    Read the full results: https://lnkd.in/gk9HW9g5

  • Mia, a cashier at Shaw's in Sturbridge, recently reminded us how a simple act of service can leave a lasting impression. When a customer needed aid downloading the store app, Mia gladly stepped in and guided them through the process.     Mia's willingness to slow down and provide assistance meant more than she could have known. What started as a request for help with technology became a reminder that genuine service is about understanding individual needs and making every customer feel valued.    It's often the small gestures that customers remember most. By taking the time to meet the customer where they were and ensuring they felt confident moving forward, Mia turned an everyday interaction into a meaningful experience.    Thank you, Mia, for your patience, kindness, and commitment to making a difference. Moments like these are what help us become the most loved grocer in our communities.

  • Some of the most powerful stories of leadership happen after the headlines fade. On July 4, Store 3005, Pavilions Newport Beach, was at the center of an unexpected public safety incident as large crowds gathered nearby. Throughout the evening, the team’s top priority was the safety of customers and associates. Thanks to their quick actions, everyone inside the store remained safe. What happened next was a remarkable example of servant leadership and community. Store Director Bishop Schulz and Assistant Store Director Jenn Seaberg stayed on-site through the night. After law enforcement cleared the area around 3 a.m., the team immediately began cleaning and restoring the property. By 6:30 a.m., about 40 community members had arrived with brooms, rakes and supplies. Customers pitched in, local businesses donated equipment and services, and associates, residents and partners worked side by side. By 8:30 a.m., the parking lot was completely restored. This story is about more than recovery. It is about neighbors helping neighbors and the relationships that make a community strong. Bishop and Jenn led with resilience, humility and commitment to their team, while the Newport Beach community showed the trust and connection this store has built over time. Thank you to everyone who stepped forward to help. We are proud of our team, proud of our community and grateful for moments that show what is possible when people come together. #Leadership #Community #ServantLeadership #Teamwork #Resilience

  • Great customer experiences are often built in the smallest moments, and for one customer, Erica from our Albertsons store in Las Vegas, NV made all the difference.     The customer shared that living with a mild brain injury can make everyday shopping more challenging, but Erica consistently brings patience, kindness, and understanding to every interaction. She takes the time to listen, answer questions, and ensure they feel comfortable and supported throughout their visit. Her compassion and genuine commitment to helping others transform routine shopping trips into meaningful experiences.     What sets associates like Erica apart is their ability to make a lasting impact on the people they serve. Through patience, empathy, and genuine care, she creates experiences that build trust, strengthen relationships, and help us become the most loved grocer in our communities.     Thank you, Erica, for shining bright and making a difference every day.

  • When communities come together, incredible things can happen. Through the Albertsons Companies Foundation's inaugural Nourish the American Dream campaign, more than $12.2 million was raised to support childhood hunger relief nationwide, helping support 49 million meals for children and families facing hunger. This impact was made possible by the generosity of our customers, the dedication of more than 300 nonprofit partners, and the support of communities across the country. More than 17,000 donors joined the effort, helping us surpass our original fundraising goal. Thank you to everyone who helped make a difference. Together, we're helping ensure more children and families have access to the nourishment they need to thrive.
