Retailers are betting big on AI and retail media. But confidence isn't keeping pace with investment. New research from Arktic Fox found: • 96% believe AI and agentic commerce will significantly or moderately impact how consumers buy • 52.9% plan to increase retail media investment in the year ahead • Yet only 4.9% report high trust in retail media networks • And 73.2% struggle to measure retail media ROI and business impact The message is clear: retailers don't just need more AI or more channels. They need better visibility into customers, performance and outcomes. As Billy Loizou, VP APAC at Amperity, puts it: "AI is creating enormous opportunity, but opportunity only becomes value when brands can recognize customers, understand context, and respond in the moment." As AI-driven discovery, personalization, and retail media continue to evolve, the brands that win will be those that can turn customer signals into trusted customer context and measurable business results. Most brands don't have a data problem. They have a customer context problem. Their data may live in the lakehouse, but understanding who a customer is, what they're doing, and what to do next often remains fragmented. That's why we brought customer intelligence to the lakehouse. So brands can turn trusted customer context into action, right where their data lives. Read the blog: https://lnkd.in/eaVD7rwc

AI doesn't create great customer experiences. Customer context does. As retailers invest in AI, many are discovering the same challenge: AI is only as effective as the understanding behind it. The future belongs to brands that can transform customer, business, and real-time signals into trusted customer context that powers intelligent decisions in the moments that matter. Loyalty programs don’t fail because customers stop caring. They fail because brands still can’t recognize, understand, or respond to customers consistently in the moments that matter. The future of loyalty isn’t more points, more perks, or more channels. It’s trusted customer context. When brands can act on real-time customer signals with the full picture of who someone is, loyalty becomes more relevant, more personal, and far more valuable. Our latest blog explores why customer context is becoming the foundation of modern loyalty programs. Check it out https://lnkd.in/gfMA-t84

Every company talks about AI, personalization, and customer data. Far fewer can answer a much simpler question: “Is any of this actually driving business value?” That’s why we're excited about this new blog on Return on Customer Data™ (ROCD). It reframes customer data from a technology conversation into a business outcomes conversation — tying customer data investments to measurable revenue, margin, efficiency, and growth. Because in the AI era, trusted customer context isn’t just infrastructure. It’s a competitive advantage. Read more: https://lnkd.in/gZU8mttT

The brands winning with AI are the ones built on trusted customer context. At Amplify 2026, industry leaders all pointed to the same reality: AI is only as powerful as the customer understanding behind it. Trusted, real-time context is becoming the foundation for every meaningful customer decision and experience. Bridget Perry’s recap from Amplify 2026 gets to the heart of what we heard from customers and industry leaders all day: customer intelligence only matters if brands can act on it in the moment that matters.
Still processing everything from Amperity's Amplify 2026 and all of the energy, buzz and innovation coming out of our customers. What I found most interesting is that the focus of the conversation was on the customer and not solely on AI and agentic. The biggest takeaway was how many brands now recognize and are quickly building a capability to know the customer, understand context and deliver an experience that is relevant in the moment. AI is the unlock the enables brands to deliver on the promise. The conversations on stage (and in the hallways) felt refreshingly practical. Less hype. More: - How do we close the gap between customer signal and response? - How do we build AI on data we can actually trust? - How do we make customer intelligence operational, not theoretical? One of my favorite moments was sitting down with Paul Ballew, Chief Data & Analytics Officer, from the National Football League (NFL). We talked about what it really means to be fan-obsessed at scale… and yes, I had to ask him for his Super Bowl prediction for this coming season. You’ll have to check out that session for the answer: https://lnkd.in/gsH99mDw I pulled together a few of the biggest themes and lessons from the event here: https://lnkd.in/gs6w7tx4 Safe to say the conversation around AI feels very different than it did a year ago. Much more grounded in execution, trust, and real customer outcomes.
