The pool isn’t open… but the roof is looking pretty refreshing. 😎 With temperatures soaring across eastern North Carolina, we’d all love to skip ahead to opening day. For now, we’ll stick to what we do best—raising steel. The new YMCA Aquatic & Wellness Center in Jacksonville is taking shape, and its signature mono-pitch roofline is already giving the building a look all its own. Below it, the future lap pool and recreation pool are well underway. Before long, this facility will be filled with swimmers, fitness classes, families, and kids learning life-saving water skills. For now, it’s filled with welders, lifts, and one hardworking crew. We can’t wait to see this community landmark make its first splash. Recently, things came full circle as we donated a crew to frame a Habitat for Humanity home in Farmville, NC. Different country. Different family. Same idea... The combination of structural steel, clean architectural lines, stucco, and brick accents gives this facility a timeless feel while providing the durability needed for years of ministry ahead. One detail we especially appreciate: a preserved brick from the church’s original 1907 building has been incorporated into the new construction — a small touch with big meaning.
