Last week, our philanthropy committee was hard at work identifying organizations for consideration in our next round of grants, focused on Victim Support. These conversations are an important part of ensuring we're thoughtful, intentional, and impactful with every dollar we give. We're grateful for the opportunity to support organizations making a difference, and we can't wait to share more about this next round of recipients soon.

Recognition is meaningful, but what truly matters most is the work behind it. We're honored to share that Audiochuck founder Ashley Flowers was recognized with the Awareness Impact Award from Black and Missing Foundation, Inc. (BAMFI) for helping amplify cases involving missing persons of color and bringing greater visibility to communities that have historically received less media attention. Last weekend, our Director of Impact & Engagement, Andrew Black, accepted the award on Ashley's behalf at BAMFI's "Hope Without Boundaries" 5K, where more than 1,000 participants, including law enforcement, advocates, and families of missing loved ones, came together in support of a shared mission. One of the most powerful parts of the day was hearing directly from families whose lives have been forever changed by a missing loved one, including the families of Jelani Day and Sophie Reeder, whose stories Audiochuck has previously shared. At Audiochuck, we believe storytelling can be a force for advocacy. Through our reporting, partnerships, and ongoing support of organizations like BAMFI, we're committed to helping bring visibility to cases that deserve greater public attention. As we reflect on Women’s History Month, we’re proud of how our team showed up in support of women and girls in our communities! Through our women-led philanthropy committee, our team spent time learning about the challenges women and girls face, and more importantly, how we can be part of meaningful, community-driven solutions. That work led to supporting incredible nonprofit partners, including: • Dieudonne Foundation’s Post-Partum Doula Program • Free Press Indiana’s Women & Girls Reporting Initiative • Center for Wellness of Urban Women supporting holistic health for BIPOC women • Welcome Baskets, removing barriers for refugee women entering the workforce • W.A.Y.S., expanding access to mental health resources for girls We also had the opportunity to host Girls Inc. of Greater Indianapolis as they launched their Leadership Lounge podcast program, and we officially joined the New York Women’s Foundation’s Collaborative Fund for Girls & Young Women, expanding our impact into new communities. Women’s History Month may be over, but our commitment to investing in women and girls is ongoing. We’re grateful to partner with organizations doing this critical work every day!

My latest! For the past 4 months, I've been working as a reporter and producer for Audiochuck's weekly narrative podcast (both video and audio), The Deck. I produced this episode from top to bottom - identifying the story, securing and conducting interviews with law enforcement and the victim's family, coordinating the video shoot, establishing a shot list and identifying filming locations, and beyond.
