The Case For Toys is expanding to Red Willow County. Thanks to the Beckenhauer Construction BEYOND Grant from Beckenhauer Construction, Inc., we are ready to begin serving children in the McCook area by equipping judges with Cases designed to create moments of comfort and connection in the courtroom. We are also grateful for our partnership with PRAIRIE PLAINS CASA, whose help getting the Cases delivered continues to make expansion across western Nebraska possible. This is what community partnership looks like. Local organizations investing in kids, trusted partners helping move the work forward, and judges creating more welcoming courtrooms for the children they serve. On Monday, we joined the Jefferson Community Health & Life for the groundbreaking of the new Bob & Wauneta Burkley Fitness Center renovation. This project will transform the existing space with expanded physical therapy areas, including a dedicated space for pediatric physical therapy, additional room for strength training and fitness, and a new direct entrance from the parking lot for easier access. The ceremony featured remarks from the Jefferson Community Health & Life team members; Holly Wolff, Ross Boeckner, Jen Johnson, Lana Likens, and Nichole Thorp whose vision and dedication helped make this project possible, along with Beckenhauer Construction President Joe Beckenhauer and Darin Horst from Davis Design. It was a great opportunity to recognize the collaboration behind this exciting investment in the community. We're excited to help create a space that will better serve patients, members, and families for years to come. Progress continues at the Codington County Jail & Law Enforcement Center as multiple areas of the project take shape! Framing is underway for the mechanical mezzanine and upper-level detention spaces, while structural steel and decking installation continue in other sections of the building. Recent work has also included precast erection and joist installation, helping transform the facility from foundations and framework into a recognizable structure. The YMCA has served generations of families, youth, and community members for more than a century, evolving over the years to meet the changing needs of Norfolk and the surrounding area. From its earliest days to the modern facility enjoyed today, the YMCA has remained a place where people come together to learn, grow, and stay active. We're proud that Beckenhauer Construction has been a small part of that story from the very beginning. Founder William Beckenhauer served as both the bricklayer and General Contractor on the original 1911 building. Over the decades, we've also had the privilege of helping with the YMCA's continued growth, including the Fieldhouse expansion completed in 2019. It's incredible to look back at where it all started and see how the Norfolk YMCA continues to strengthen our community more than 100 years later. Here at Beckenhauer Construction we celebrate victories big AND small. Today the crew at Codington County Jail & Law Enforcement Center celebrated the installation of the adjustable step system. This system allows crews to move equipment between levels more easily, improving both safety and overall job site efficiency.
