What does digital transformation look like in practice? Sometimes it's not a new technology. It's removing a barrier. As the Official Digital Technology Transformation Partner of the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB), Cognizant helped transform a fragmented membership process that could take up to 25 days into a seamless digital experience completed in around five minutes. The result is a simpler experience for players and clubs, reduced complexity behind the scenes and more time spent enjoying the game. Technology with purpose. Real-world impact. Realizing value from AI requires more than deploying new technology. Organizations that see results are rethinking how work gets done, creating new operating models and building environments where people and AI can create value together. In the latest episode of Stay Cognizant, host Pamela Axtell sits down with Sushant Warikoo, Chief Business Officer, AI at Cognizant, to discuss what's standing between AI investment and business value. Had a fantastic conversation with Shveta Arora, Global Head of Consulting at Cognizant. Consulting is going through a moment right now: exciting on one hand, anxious on the other, as everyone figures out what AI actually means for the industry. My 3 favorite takeaways from our chat: 1. Model makers entering consulting is an endorsement, not a threat. Anthropic's $1.5B fund to embed engineers in client operations, OpenAI doing the same... Shveta's take: this validates how critical the services layer is. There's a real "AI velocity gap" between model capability and enterprise value realized, and only services can close it. 2. Talent debt beats tech debt as the real bottleneck. Tech modernization is finally getting traction. But without people on board, skilled and past their anxiety about AI, the ROI never shows up. 3. Nobody's cracked AI services pricing yet. Human rate cards don't fit agentic delivery. Token pricing is too abstract for buyers to budget against. Shveta's seeing early moves toward outcome-based deals and blended human-plus-agent rate cards, but no standard yet. We’re proud to have partnered with mecwacare – an organization with a 67-year legacy of delivering care in Victoria, Australia – on their digital transformation journey. By co-creating a unified, person-centered platform, we’ve helped streamline their processes and reduce the administrative burden on their frontline staff. This foundational work not only enables future scale and the integration of AI but, most importantly, gives them more time for what matters most: caring for residents and clients wherever they call home.

Cognizant is on pace to hire 1,500 U.S. college graduates in 2026, with roles that will span across our core tech business, Belcan engineering unit and our new Frontier Engineers track for early-career AI talent. We have hired about 27,000 graduates globally since 2025. In the U.S., that pipeline runs through Fusion, our flagship internship, as well as Ignite and Elevate for underclassmen and U.S. Department of Labor-registered apprenticeships. Cognizant recruits from more than 40 U.S. campuses, including strong partnerships with the University of Georgia, Arizona State University and the University of Kentucky. This year's class pulls from a mix of technical and non-technical majors, with continued emphasis on reaching first-generation students and candidates from underrepresented backgrounds.
