About us

Crime Stoppers International (CSI) is the umbrella organisation for more than 800 Crime Stoppers chapters worldwide. An independent, not-for-profit entity, CSI is governed by a Board of Directors comprising representatives from six continents, with day-to-day operations spearheaded by an experienced management team. Our mission is "To mobilize the world to report crime anonymously", and our guarantee is 'when someone shares information with Crime Stoppers, their identity will never be exposed'. Our national and local Crime Stoppers programs form a sophisticated global network to educate communities about transnational crime, and provide platforms and channels for citizens to anonymously share information about crime and criminal activity. Crime Stoppers International focuses on encouraging communities to report transnational crime and criminal activity linked to illicit trade, human trafficking, environmental and wildlife crime, financial crime, cybercrime and international fugitives. Our work involves helping law enforcement to disrupt serious and organised crime networks; developing and executing global anti-crime campaigns; educating and encouraging communities to share information they have; and delivering capacity building and advocacy initiatives. Our activities support a number of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and targets in collaboration with our key partners and stakeholders, including INTERPOL, UNODC (the United Nations Office on Drugs & Crime), the Global Coalition to Fight Financial Crime, the International Cyber Threat Task Force (ICTTF), World Free Zones Organization, IPTI (International Police Training Institute), IATA (International Air Transport Association), World Wildlife Fund, Airline Ambassadors International, IIPCIC (International Intellectual Property Crime Investigator College) and more. • We're delighted to welcome Elise Rasmussen to the Crime Stoppers International Specialist Advisory team. For over four decades, Elise has built a reputation as one of the world's most effective conveners, a connector, facilitator, and mentor at the forefront of global transformation in the nicotine sector. As founder and CEO of the World Nicotine Congress, she brings together health experts, politicians, and business leaders to examine the future of the sector across regulation, health awareness, innovation, investment, and law enforcement. She is also Global Sales and Events Director of TABEXPO, one of Europe's largest trade fairs for nicotine, and in 2011 co-founded and chaired Women In Tobacco, a first-of-its-kind organisation bringing women stakeholders together to network, mentor, and shape key initiatives. Previously, Elise founded the GTNF Conference, and for more than 17 years broke new ground as the first global events organiser to bring the nicotine sector and public health experts into the same room, stepping outside the echo chamber to seek solutions in harm reduction. She was publisher of Tobacco Reporter, a 150-year-old publication recognised as the leading title in its field, and founded Vapor Voice, the only global magazine addressing issues critical to vaping. She was awarded the Freedom of the City of London in 2013 and is Past Master of the Worshipful Company of Tobacco Pipe Makers and Tobacco Blenders. What we value most is how she does it. Elise is known across the sector for her generosity the quiet introductions, the door held open for someone earlier in their career, the willingness to hear every side. Convening isn't a job title for her; it's a habit of character. That warmth is precisely what makes difficult conversations possible. Illicit trade in nicotine sits at the intersection of organised crime, public health, and consumer harm. Elise brings the networks, the credibility, and the disposition to bring the right people to the table. Welcome, Elise. #CrimeStoppersInternational #IllicitTrade #OrganisedCrime

  • Speaker Announcement: Lt General Tebello Mosikili Deputy National Police Commissioner of the South African Police Service, Lt General Tebello Mosikili, will be joining us at the CSI World Summit 2026 in Panama City. Appointed in July 2022, she is responsible for all Visible Policing and Operational environments and Protection Security Services, oversees the Crime Detection environment, and serves as Co-Chairperson of the National Joint Operational and Intelligence Structure. She has also served as Crime Stoppers International Director for Region 7 (Africa) since 2018. Her command of that portfolio rests on more than three decades in the SAPS. She joined as a student constable in 1989 and rose through the detective and visible policing ranks, leading Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Investigations in 2016 — overseeing 176 units and nine Serial and Electronic Crime Investigations Units — before her appointments as Divisional Commissioner: Detective Services in 2018 and Deputy National Head of the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation in 2020. • Your bank has your details. It doesn't need you to “confirm” them through a link in a text, especially not one that arrives in the middle of the night with an urgent warning. That urgency is the trick: scammers want you to panic and tap before you think. Real banks give you time and never ask you to verify your account this way. If a message like this lands, don't tap. Contact your bank using the number on your card, and report the message. #ScamAwareness #StaySafeOnline #CrimeStoppers

• Measured as a country, cybercrime would be the world’s third-largest economy. It’s borderless, fast-moving and hugely profitable and the individuals behind it operate almost entirely out of reach of prosecution. The CyberCrime Bounty Program, run by Crime Stoppers International with Fortinet, brings the proven anonymous reporting model to the cyber domain.
