Representation matters. But what matters even more is creating opportunities. Every meaningful milestone in my career has happened because someone believed in my potential before I had fully grown into it. The FirstTo50 Women's Speaker Development Program was one of those opportunities. Today I own six practices, speak around the world, and have the privilege of mentoring dentists at different stages of their careers. None of that happened overnight, and none of it happened alone. I'm grateful to Dentsply Sirona and Dentistry Today for recognizing the importance of investing in women leaders. The greatest return on that investment isn't another speaking engagement or award. It's the ripple effect of helping others believe that they belong at the table, too.
As the dental profession evolves, so too must the voices shaping its future. Today, women account for the majority of dental school entrants in the United States, and their influence continues to grow across clinical practice, education, innovation, and leadership. Dentsply Sirona has long recognized the importance of ensuring that this shift is reflected not only in the workforce, but also in the way dentistry is designed, developed, and advanced. Through initiatives like the FirstTo50 Women's Speaker Development Program, Dentsply Sirona is helping create opportunities for women to share their expertise, develop as leaders, and influence the future of oral healthcare. Clinicians like Dr. Sara Mahmood, a FirstTo50 alumna and owner of six dental practices, demonstrate how investing in women's leadership creates lasting impact across the profession. We're proud to feature Dentsply Sirona and Dr. Sara Mahmood in Dentistry Today's June Women in Dentistry issue, highlighting the importance of representation, mentorship, and creating opportunities for the next generation of women leaders in dentistry. 📖 Read the full feature: https://lnkd.in/e5cQ5fHG #WomenInDentistry #DentistryToday #DentsplySirona #DentalInnovation #WomenInLeadership #DentalEducation #Leadership #ProfessionalDevelopment #Dentistry
