What if your pantry could tell you more than what’s on the nutrition label? On the latest episode of Wellness Rebranded, Sarela Herrada explores how soil health, Indigenous agriculture, responsible sourcing, and farmer livelihoods shape the flavor, nutrition, and impact of the food on our plates. Sarela also shares what makes SIMPLi’s beans, grains, and oils different and why asking where our food comes from can change the way we shop, cook, and nourish our families. Because better food doesn’t start in the kitchen. It starts in the soil. Listen now: https://lnkd.in/eVVHRXJh

Today is a big day for our team. We're incredibly proud to share that SIMPLi is one of six emerging companies to receive an investment from Chipotle Mexican Grill's Cultivate Next / Chipotle fund, which supports innovators building a more resilient food system. Since day one, we've believed that the future of food starts with transparency. By partnering directly with farmers, investing in regenerative organic agriculture, measuring both nutrient density and environmental impact, and building fully traceable supply chains, we're working to create a new gold standard for pantry staples. Food that's better for people, better for farmers, and better for the planet. We're honored to be recognized alongside an inspiring group of companies working to shape the future of food. Thank you to the Cultivate Next team for believing in our mission, and to our farmers, partners, customers, retailers, investors, and the entire SIMPLi team for helping us reach this milestone. This recognition belongs to all of you.

Honored to see SIMPLi featured in New York Magazine's The Strategist as one of Pierce Abernathy's can't-cook-without pantry staples. Pierce shared why he keeps coming back to our Gigante Beans: their creamy texture, approachable flavor, and the fact that they're grown using regenerative farming practices. We're grateful to be recognized alongside products that inspire great cooking. Thanks, Pierce, for the thoughtful feature. Read it here: https://lnkd.in/eSwGuZNd

Inc. Magazine describes the Purpose Pledge as "a new gold standard of social entrepreneurship." At its core, we believe the next evolution of social entrepreneurship is moving purpose from aspiration to action – and integrating it into the core of how companies operate. This is why the Purpose Pledge exists. Purpose Pledge brings together companies and allied support organizations in a shared community committed to advancing 10 commitments across governance, workers, supply chains, communities, and the environment. Purpose Pledge isn't a certification program, though certification plays a critical role. Instead, it is a shared, accountable learning community where companies learn from one another and measure progress publicly and transparently. Today, 16 companies have committed to a nine-year journey of continuous improvement and public accountability across the ten commitments – with additional companies joining by year end. They are supported by seven Commitment Catalysts – organizations providing expertise, tools, and hands-on support to help companies advance toward meaningful progress across each commitment area. Together, they are helping demonstrate that purpose can be operationalized, measured, and scaled across business. We had a great week at the KeHE Distributors Holiday Show! As a returning exhibitor, it's always valuable to spend time with our KeHE partners, connect with retailers, and hear firsthand what’s shaping our customers experience with our brand. There’s nothing quite like being on the show floor, building relationships, sharing our mission, and learning from the people who help bring our products to shelves every day. We were especially proud to have SIMPLi products featured in the showcase boxes highlighting regenerative agriculture. It was great to see our friends at Organic Trade Association, Wild Oats, and Dr. Bronner's take the stage to discuss the future of regenerative practices and continue advancing a movement that’s deeply connected to our shared values. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to connect with our team. We’re energized by the conversations, partnerships, and opportunities ahead!

Experiences like these are a powerful reminder that food is about so much more than what's on our plates. We're honored to partner with farming communities in Peru whose commitment to the land, each other, and future generations is reflected in every harvest. Thank you for taking the time to visit, learn, and share their stories!
I've always believed that businesses are rooted in human connection, and nowhere was that more evident than on our recent In the Field trip to Peru. Along with Culture Champions from across Whole Foods Market, I got to visit the communities behind some of our most beloved products—from quinoa and bean farms in the highlands with SIMPLi to the COCLA cooperative that sources our Allegro coffee at 1,800 meters altitude. The trip kept bringing me back to something from my childhood in my Wisconsin family garden: the smell of healthy soil after a first rototilling, and that feeling of being truly close to the earth. That connection is universal, and in Peru, it runs deep, whether it was farmers offering blessings to Pachamama before harvest, practicing ayni by tending each other's land, or a women's committee leading composting, crop diversification, and a bakery that brings in year-round income. The word that kept coming up all week was community - in the fields, in the cooperatives, in the way these farmers support one another. It's the same force that drives all our team members across Whole Foods Market and Amazon Grocery. I'm grateful for suppliers like SIMPLi and COCLA and for our grocery team members who together create a community committed to doing better for our planet and future generations.
